The City of Cherry Hills Village is seeking applicants for the position of Streets Operations Supervisor in the Streets Division of the Public Works Department. This position is responsible for supervising the Streets crew in construction, maintenance, and cleanliness of City streets and rights-of-way, as well as a variety of other maintenance tasks within the Public Works Department.

Description

The Streets Operation Supervisor is a working supervisor position and requires that the Supervisor be in the field performing all functions of the Heavy Equipment Operator position including on-call snow removal.  Superior communication, teamwork and customer service skills are essential. The 2024 hiring range is $34.78- $41.73 per hour ($72,339 – $86,806 annual salary) plus an excellent benefits package. The position salary range is $34.78- $48.69 ($72,339- $101,274). City operations are located at 2101 W Quincy Ave, Sheridan, CO.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, assigns, and reviews work of employees in construction and maintenance of streets and related all related facilities.
  • Performs a variety of other construction and maintenance work in the Public Works Department.
  • Must have the ability to supervise assigned personnel in an effective and positive manner.
  • Capacity to schedule assigned personnel to ensure snow removal operations meet established City policies.
  • Provides field supervision and work inspection of the Public Works Streets Division, which consists of 1 Crew Leader and 4 Heavy Equipment Operators.
  • Tasks require considerable skills in use of heavy equipment and constant attention to safety in order to prevent accidents.
  • Performs all functions of the Heavy Equipment Operator position.
  • Works closely with the Parks Division, cooperating on special projects and special events.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Five years of related work experience is required. Two years of full-time supervisory experience is required.
  • A Class B CDL is required, a Class A CDL is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required. Two year college degree is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and relevant job experience may be substituted.
