As Zoom’s Global Architect team grows, we are looking for a Technical Writer who is responsible for creating clear, effective documentation supporting both Zoom and partner-led service delivery.

 

About the Team

In Zoom’s market, agile content creation is crucial. A high level of technical aptitude and collaboration skills are required to be successful in Zoom’s rapid, results-focused work environment. The right candidate will bring a passion for using documentation to bridge the gap between the Zoom platform and complex customer needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation required for service delivery teams, including architectural considerations, deployment guides, configuration instructions, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge bases.

  • Developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practice documents for teams. Create playbooks to streamline recurring processes and improve service consistency.

  • Editing and proofreading documents provided by engineers, consultants, or other SMEs to ensure professionalism and clarity. Ensure compliance with organizational templates, branding, and style guidelines.

  • Collaborating with Solutions Engineering, Product Management, and Engineering to understand product capabilities, limitations, best practices, and key considerations for communicating with Zoom customers.

  • Breaking down highly technical concepts into explainable combinations of written text and supporting visuals. Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards, best practices, and internal style guides.

  • Identifying opportunities for improving documentation processes and content quality. Implement feedback from clients and stakeholders to optimize documentation and delivery practices. Help scale the team through new ideas for content and processes.

  • Using technical writing tools and content authoring platforms effectively. Familiarity with APIs, software deployment tools, or product management platforms to document technical workflows.

  • Assessing and prioritizing incoming requests, coordinate efforts between Service Delivery, Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing functions to maximize impact and reduce duplication of work.

 

What we’re looking for

  • 3+ years in a Technical Writing, Service Delivery, Technical Sales Enablement field

  • Experience with deployment of Zoom products and platform offerings

  • Have good analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated, personable, with great attention to detail

  • Experience with professional services, system integrators, or business consulting

  • Experience with AI, LLMs, telephony systems, contact center, and APIs

  • Have SaaS Collaboration experience

 

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

 

Minimum:

$76 800,00

 

Maximum:

$186 200,00

 

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

 

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

 

We also have a location based compensation structure;  there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations
