Compensation and Benefits:
- Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $5,769.23 to $7,115.38+ biweekly amount, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. May be eligible for a discretionary bonus annually (up to 25% of base pay).

Job Summary:
Plans, directs and controls the organization's overall financial plans and operations, and relationships with the parent company (Powdr Corp). Directs functions within strategic planning, revenue management, capital planning, budgeting and forecasting, accounting and various administrative operations for the organization and its subsidiaries. Oversees commercial asset management, finance/accounting, sales/conference services, risk management and information technology. Participates as member of the Resort Leadership Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Oversees leadership/development of team members and responsible for hiring/coaching of Director and Management-level employees.
- Participates in company events throughout the year. Takes an active role in understanding and becoming involved in the operations of Copper Mountain Resort. Develops strong working relationship with company management and learns operational areas to best serve the resort.
- Promotes the efforts of the Finance department and strives for continuous improvements. Responsible for leading all aspects of the finance and accounting team at Copper.
- Is positive and supportive, energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated. Leads by example.
- Understands and maintains the strictest of confidentiality with regard to information pertaining to Copper Mountain Resort and Powdr.
- Develops annual budget and its subsequent review and monitors close adherence to budget.
- Develops and maintains 5-year strategic plan, presents to POWDR executive team annually
- In conjunction with Finance team managers, plans and implements staff functions.
- Develops Sales and execution strategy in coordination with the Managing Director of Sales
- Participates in the development of the master development plans (both mountain and village) for the resort and specifically financial impacts, ROI's, IRR as needed.
- Coordinates the development of the long-term strategic initiatives and operating projections to incorporate into the company's business plan.
- Along with the President and other senior leaders, determines annual resort targets. Reviews the annual operating budgets. Participates in executive committee review of overall company budget.
- Coordinates the development of forecasts to ensure adherence to the company's business plan. Holds all others involved accountable for their respective divisions.
- Reviews the company's monthly P&L statement for accuracy and to identify and coordinate response to budget variances.
- Communicates with operational directors and managers — regarding policies and procedures, as well as holding them accountable for their operations' financial results.
- Oversees preparation of cash flow projections and coordinates with parent company to ensure adequate availability of funds to meet the company's needs.
- Oversees revenue management responsibilities including pricing strategy, participation in weekly strategy meetings, analyzing weekly results, determining pricing decisions and participating in product development.
- Partner with Powdr to establish and evaluate the company's system of internal controls including accounting systems and the safeguarding of the company's assets. In particular, establishes and reviews controls over cash and safeguarding of the company's cash handling operations.
- Check signing responsibilities for the company checking accounts.
- Coordinates and reviews the real and property tax declarations that are submitted to the county. Evaluate assessed values and coordinate negotiation of changes with the county as required.
- Oversees preparation/Instructs financial courses to further educate all managers/supervisors.
- Oversees commercial asset management and accounting and acts as liaison for all commercial property.
- Participates as a member of the Resort Leadership Team in establishing company goals and policies, overseeing business operations, and ensuring the core values of financial strength, guest loyalty and employee experience are being supported.
- Oversees risk management and safety organization for the resort. Responsibilities include implementing best safety practices across the resort, in addition to managing the interface with insurance companies.
- Resort oversight of the IT department including product setup and infrastructure management
- All other duties assigned.
Guest Service Duties:
- Participates in Front-Line Assist program as required by company.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Management/Leadership of Direct Reports
- Select and train, all Direct Reports.
- Motivate/manage/counsel/support/coach direct reports
- Assist these individuals in the creation of goals and objectives, which support the goals and objectives of Copper, and the Finance department.
- Provide feedback to direct reports. Conduct annual performance reviews. Give formal and informal feedback on performance. Recognize and reward exceptional performance. Conduct 1-on-1's with direct reports on a bi-weekly basis.
- Ensure staff upholds and adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Communicate information with staff to ensure knowledge of resort activities, events, and changes.

Job Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after position is accepted. This background check will be done in accordance with standards enacted under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
- Must have a valid US Driver's license.
- This position may require the use of a motor vehicle and the employee is subject to comply with the Driver's Standards of Copper Mountain
Preferred Experience and Special Skills:
- 8+ years' supervisory financial management experience, preferably in the ski or hospitality industry with proven abilities to independently and successfully develop financial analytical tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Performance record should show success working with all levels of management and operating personnel.
