Western State University of Colorado invites applications for the position of Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment.  Western seeks an experienced and innovative marketing and enrollment professional to lead the areas of Admissions, Marketing Communications, Financial Aid, Alumni Relations and Career Services.  This is a cabinet-level position that reports to the President and will provide campus leadership on all matters related to strategic enrollment with an emphasis on recruitment, enrollment growth and retention.   
Provides strategic leadership and accountability for Admissions and Recruitment, Marketing Communications, Financial Aid, Career Services and Alumni Relations departments to achieve greater strategic enrollment objectives within the University's strategic plan.
Establishes and improves marketing and enrollment group best practices, processes, efficiencies and capabilities.  Engages the campus community broadly in the group's plans and efforts, enabling university-wide integration into appropriate marketing, recruitment, admissions, retention, and career success efforts.
Provides institutional leadership for marketing and enrollment management planning based on an analysis of current national and state student population and demographic data.  Leads the marketing enrollment group in utilizing pertinent data to target and focus recruitment efforts in the most effective market sectors.
Guides the development and implementation of innovative strategies within both the marketing enrollment group and campus-wide efforts to improve student retention, graduation rates, and career success.  
Supports cabinet-level strategies to build, manage and optimize relationships with alumni, government and community constituents to engender support and fundraising.
Pursues beneficial private sector alliances and sponsorships. Seeks out synergistic opportunities among appropriate sectors. Builds and presents development and partnership proposals and presentations to individuals and groups.
Responsible for effective management of financial resources, including expense management.
Qualified candidates will have strong skills in marketing management and the ability to coordinate and lead the work of multiple offices in support of institutional goals.   A clear understanding of, and experience with, the strategic role that marketing and information technology play in effective student recruitment and the linkage of financial aid to student recruitment and retention are essential. 
The successful candidate will have a proven track-record of success in undergraduate enrollment with expertise in strategic enrollment management (i.e. competitive and market analysis, pricing and net revenue optimization, demand planning and forecasting, etc.), and strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and utilize data in planning and decision-making.
In addition, the successful candidate will have a collaborative management and leadership style, with externally developed business acumen to develop, implement and execute innovative strategies in an increasingly competitive environment.
A bachelor's degree and a proven track-record of progressively responsible experience and accountability in marketing, enrollment management or other highly comparable field are required.  A master's degree in a relevant field with extensive relevant experience is preferred.
