The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is looking for a self-starting, innovative Facilities Coordinator to help us drive the business on our Facilities team.  Responsible for the operation, maintenance, safety and security, the Facilities team is a multi-faceted, multi-focused group and we would like you to be part of it.  The position includes everything from invoice and financial processing and review, work order reporting, contract controls, project tracking, record keeping, compliance tracking and so much more!  This is the opportunity to develop and grow this position, so if you have the initiative, there are plenty of opportunities waiting for you!

Areas of Responsibility

Essential duties:

  • Tracks finances for operation and provide reports to cost center managers. Centralize documentation including plans, reports, contracts, personnel paperwork, etc. 
  • Provides support on department specific projects. Depending on scope, may lead the collection of data, photographs, videos and information needed. 
  • Coordinates communication materials, meeting schedules, may design proto-type of products. 
  • Provides ad hoc support to the other departments to assist with requests for specific information from department. 
  • Provides support to the department by acting as public interface, scheduling meetings and coordinating events and programs. 
  • Provides support to staff by ordering supplies, assisting with travel arrangements and maintaining calendars. 
Requirements/Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience providing administrative support required.
  • Some evening/night/weekend work required.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft
