The Human Resource Director oversees recruiting, compensation and management, benefit and design implementation, on-boarding and termination processes, in addition to monitoring company morale and employee engagement. In this role the candidate we seek will be a partner to the executive team to understand the current culture and consider how to implement policies and procedures that support the executive team vision. Our ideal candidate excels in the day-to-day demands of HR functions and processes, leading our team in defining exactly what is to be done and on what schedule. Our HR Director leads and sets the pace rather than waiting to be led. Success includes leveraging the resources of the company to be a leader in the use of digital mediums to streamline and enhance the human resources functions. The ideal candidate will be service oriented and work daily to enable Gaia to recruit, hire and retain the best employees. Responsibilities

• Execute effective on-boarding and termination procedures enabled through our HRIS, Paycom. • Responsible for overseeing the hiring process, supporting individual departments’ recruiting, hiring and on-boarding processes to ensure managers have sufficient candidates that align with the organization’s culture, mission and vision. • Work closely with all welfare and pension brokers to ensure all benefit plans are well designed, benefit the culture, enhance recruiting efforts, and are communicated effectively. • Responsible for the execution and maintenance of a compensation plan that outlines roles and responsibilities, equitable salary ranges and provides employees with feedback that aligns with their areas of responsibility as well as alignment with the company values and culture. • Develop progressive and proactive review programs to provide motivation, incentives and rewards for effective performance. • Develop and maintain relationships with employment agencies, universities and other recruitment sources; initiate recruiting for new positions with appropriate groups or venues • Manage communication and public relations with social networking sites involving company reputation and recruiting. • Assure advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures and documentation is timely and accurate. • Work closely with all managers to identify training and development needs for employees, including leveraging the video training module within Paycom and our internal production capabilities to create video content for the hiring and on-boarding processes. • Work closely with CFO and other internal resources to design, develop and implement the modules within Paycom to fully maximize its capabilities. • Oversee and approve payroll process. • Ensure data integrity and oversee timely reporting for a variety of state and federal legislature requirements, including necessary compliance for Sarbanes-Oxley Act. • Responsible for directing and managing the daily activities of the HR Generalist • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree, • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred. • Strong knowledge of employment law and practices • 1-3 years HR experience with a publicly-traded company • Excellent interpersonal skills • Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality • Excellent computer and organizational skills • Appreciation for Gaia content and mission a must, long-time current subscribers preferred
