SUMMARY         

The Regional HR Manager will report directly to the Field Director, HR Talent and is responsible for supporting the regional operations team with all HR needs.  The ability to build strong working relationships, influence key decision makers, and communicate effectively across multiple levels of the organization are critically important to success in the role.  Additionally, the Regional HR Manager must promote and ensure a culture of caring, respect and fairness for all team members.

                                   

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acts as a primary point of contact for Area Managers for all people related matters
  • Partners with Area Managers and Market Directors to ensure adherence to succession planning routines
  • Champions the development program, providing guidance and insight while ensuring successful and effective use of the tools
  • Partners with Talent Acquisition and Regional Director of Operations to ensure restaurants are staffed at all levels
  • Effectively manages employee relations by coaching leaders through investigations, and assisting in the resolution of more complex situations
  • Tracks and provides employee relations data/metrics in order to analyze, identify opportunities, and continually improve our restaurant environments
  • Instills a culture of accountability by building leaders' skills with effective performance management processes
  • Provides insight and guidance to Regional Ops Director on Area Manager performance
  • Educates restaurant leadership, and ensures compliance with all employment laws
  • Maintains HR metrics and HR dashboard, enabling data rich decision making
  • Manages exit interview process and conducts interviews at a management level
  • Implements and oversees hourly team member exit interview process 
  • Analyzes HR data, identifies trends, and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement
  • Practices an Ops First culture, using the lens of an operator in all actions and makes sure our mission and values are reflected in our actions
    • Contributes to enhancing, creating and implementing HR programs and practices

  • Ability to objectively coach employees and navigate complex, difficult issues
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations
  • Excellent analytical abilities and well developed problem solving skills
  • Articulate and solid communicator with effective presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts both verbally and in writing
  • Strong relationship-building skills required to productively interact across all levels of the organization
  • High personal standards; the ability to represent Noodles & Company appropriately
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and changing priorities; exceptional decision-making, project management, planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively handle and manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Travel required, up to 30%

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or in human resources management preferred, but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of human resources experience
  • Experience working in multi-unit retail or restaurant environment
