What you'll do…
H&R Block is hiring a Director of Content and Creative Strategy—a visionary leader with a track record of fostering high-performing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. In this role, you’re responsible for inspiring and motivating others to embrace change, challenge existing norms and systems and drive progress in building brand relevancy and becoming an outcome-oriented content function. The ideal candidate has experience supercharging content marketing efforts to drive traffic and engagement and managing and shaping consumer brand perceptions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Spearhead a strategic overhaul of our content function to better align with the company’s ideal state and modern marketing organizations
- In partnership with the go-to-market and media teams, translate customer needs and insights into actionable content strategies
- Inspire, direct and lead internal and agency teams to produce innovative, effective content (often at high-volume) that cuts through a crowded marketplace and delivers on customer needs.
- Utilize data and analytics to measure content performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize content.
- Experiment with new tools and techniques, including AI, to create efficiencies in content production timelines and costs.
- Evangelize the brand platform and champion creative work across the organization.
- Drive brand relevancy by aligning content with current cultural and market trends to increase audience engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and integration of messaging and content across all touchpoints, including governance of brand foundations
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in creative and content marketing
- Optimize content formats to align with consumer consumption and search trends and behavioral shifts, ensuring we stay relevant and visible to our target audiences
- Monitor and manage production budgets to ensure efficient and effective allocation of spend
- Define and track key performance indicators to measure the success of content strategies
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
What you'll bring to the team…
- 12+ years of relevant experience, including experience in marketing leadership roles
- Clear and compelling communicator with the ability to inspire and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Results-oriented mindset and proven ability to proactively and creatively solve problem
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills; adept at working under pressure and managing multiple high-priority projects in a highly seasonal business
- Track record of mentoring and developing associates and fostering a high-performing and collaborative team
- Experience with Workfront, Adobe Experience Manager and other Adobe systems desired but not required

Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed.
Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
