Since 2004, the Foundation has brought to life some of the most important programs and research for those affected by Parkinson’s. Our community includes people living with Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s care partners, families, and friends, in addition to physicians and allied health professionals.
POSITION OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The Program Manager – Content is accountable for the creation, execution, and management of the educational content at the Davis Phinney Foundation. This includes writing content for our blog, Every Victory Counts® suite of resources, webinars, podcasts, educational brochures, events, and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates, executes, and manages educational content, ensuring that content aligns with Foundation’s voice and content strategy.
- Writes technically accurate, engaging copy for the Foundation’s website, blog, Every Victory Counts suite, and other educational content platforms.
- Engages in topic-related and market research to establish appropriate learning objectives for content and to ensure content is suited to the Foundation’s audience and other constituents.
- Assists with production of Foundation’s audio-visual content and occasionally participates in recordings of audio and video related content.
- Creates content for email, social media, and print publication.
- Works closely with Marketing team to ensure content is SEO friendly and supports digital reach goals (web traffic, social media, etc.).
- Identifies and nurtures relationships with speakers and content contributors, communicating clear objectives for content and ensuring timeliness of article and presentation submissions.
- Collaborates with the Content and Marketing teams to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Foundation's educational content and makes recommendations for new areas of content to develop.
- Analyzes audience viewing behaviors and learning styles and creates appropriate ways for our community to consume information (video, coursework, podcast, webinar, etc.).
- Develops a deep understanding of Parkinson’s, with a specific focus on how current trends are applicable to the Foundation’s educational content strategy.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong copyediting skills
- Proficiency with WordPress and Office 365 Applications
- Experience with audio editing, video editing, and graphic design principles and software preferred
- Familiarity with Blackbaud CRM and Monday.com software preferred
- Ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- 3+ years of experience in multimedia content writing and editing
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in health education, Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, or related field required
- Master’s degree in public health, Health Education, English, Communications, Journalism, or related field preferred

- Standard office environment, whether remote, in-person, or hybrid
- Regular interaction with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace if working remotely
