Social Media Manager/Communications Intern

Valley Country Club is looking for a paid, part-time Intern to manage all Social Media channels with fresh, exciting content generated from all aspects of our Club that will be pertinent and important for Members, and useful as lead generational tools for prospective Members. The Intern will work in a very fast-paced, never boring environment where everyday is different from the next. From photographing golf events, Member parties, merchandise and Members, to writing copy for the blog, editing and updating the website, posting on both the Club and Golf Shop’s social media channels on a daily basis, and measuring statistics and performance – this is a challenging and fun opportunity for the right person. The position will work side by side with our full-time in-house Graphic Designer and under the Director of Membership and Marketing and will be instrumental in communicating the Valley brand to internal and external audiences. The ideal candidate has a strong background in social media and web design, is passionate about staying up to date with the trends in media, has the ability to be self-directed and creative. The position has the possibility of becoming full-time. Strong writing and communications skills a must, along with attention to detail. Creative Adobe Suite use is mandatory. Hours are flexible during the normal working hours of the Club – Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00am – 7:00pm.

As the Sr. Content Strategist, you’ll be creating and developing editorial content for the company to drive B2B business outcomes. As a critical member of the Communications team, you’ll design, develop and implement a strategy for the company’s content resource center and other assets. You will create and publish content across a range of workforce, education, and future of work topics while optimizing for organic search, on-site engagement, and partner distribution. You’ll spearhead research projects, identifying the white space in the industry to elevate Guild’s voice. You will have flexibility in tone and style, writing for multiple mediums including thought leadership pieces across communications. You’ll be a critical member of the team, acting as a strategic editor to marshal content efforts to reach our B2B audience.
