Description
The Web Content Coordinator writes content, makes updates, and enhances the school-wide website by creating compelling content that supports user journeys, increases SEO and supports branding and revenue goals.
This involves both crafting new content, as well as maintaining and refreshing existing content and imagery. This role has primary responsibility for enforcing web governance compliance, creating weekly and annual content calendaring, developing brand-focused web content, and enhancing web content to optimize SEO and other digital metrics. This position is also responsible for reporting and analysis for SEO-related areas.
This role will be instrumental to helping create unified experiences for all our external audiences on the website and will work closely with other marketing and communications content creators who will contribute to key areas of the site, as well as our UI/UX designer, and web programmer.
Our ideal candidate: You are adept at persuasive writing, understand digital strategy and are comfortable creating content and using metrics to inform potential improvements and future initiatives. You’re particularly passionate about brand cohesion and user experiences. Whether the focus is on conversions, SEO, linking strategies, on-page conversions or another performance metric, you can balance brand impression with web performance
You have experience using content management systems, Google Analytics (GA4), SEO reporting tools and have an aptitude for learning new technologies.

Required Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English, or related-field
- 3+ years work experience in a digital writing role (web articles, social, email, marketing campaigns or other digital platforms)
- Experience with persuasive short and long-form writing (eg – headline copy to long-form stories)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of website communication accessibility standard WCAG 2.2
- Experience managing and updating content in WordPress or similar

Preferred Job Qualifications
- 1+ year of demonstrated SEO-content or analysis related work
- 1+ year of demonstrated experience informing website structure, information architecture, user journeys
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other image editing software
- Familiarity with responsive design needs
- Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) and/or other performance reporting tools
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a team environment
- Balance big-picture problem-solving with detail-oriented execution
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills with responsiveness to user requests
- Attention to detail with the ability to consistently deliver error-free writing
- Agile with technology learning and able to quickly adopt technologies relevant to website content, analysis and reporting.
- Knowledge of up-to-date and rapidly shifting SEO best practices
