Schedule: This part-time role (minimum 25 hours per week) that may to transition into a full-time position.

Compensation: $36–$38 per hour, based on skills and experience.

While our team operates remotely, we gather multiple times per year for board meetings, fundraising events, and in-person staff meetings. All staff contribute to these events.

About the Role:

The Development Manager will bring 10+ years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit or association setting. This role is responsible for securing event sponsorships, executing individual giving campaigns (including year-end appeals and peer-to-peer fundraising), and leading fundraising event efforts. The ideal candidate is a skilled writer, experienced in donor outreach, and comfortable managing multiple aspects of fundraising, including grants, direct mail campaigns, and digital appeals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute successful fundraising campaigns, including peer-to-peer, direct mail, and digital appeals.
  • Secure sponsorships and individual donations through strong donor relationships.
  • Write and manage fundraising and marketing materials, including print and digital appeals.
  • Lead fundraising event planning and execution.
  • Oversee social media strategies related to fundraising efforts.
  • Identify and develop new donor outreach efforts, including crowdfunding and annual fund expansion.
  • Write, coordinate, and manage web content and public-facing communications.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is proactive, self-directed, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of nonprofit fundraising experience
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with donor databases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva, WordPress, and social media platforms
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Creative problem-solver and strategic thinker
  • Professional and respectful in all interactions
