Description
The Foundation is launching a new strategic plan in 2026. This role will contribute to implementing the organization's fundraising and operational priorities by strengthening data systems, enhancing donor and member experiences, optimizing technologies, and executing scalable strategies. The ideal candidate brings CRM expertise, helps implement process improvements and automation, and collaborates across departments to support sustainable revenue growth.
Primary responsibility areas:

Annual giving + direct response campaigns (gifts < $1,000)

Friends membership program management + growth
This position reports to the Senior Director of Philanthropy and works closely with Marketing/Communications, Events, Finance, and other staff to ensure integrated fundraising efforts and seamless donor experiences. This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 2 days per week in the office, with a core collaboration day.
Key Responsibilities
Donor Database + Development Operations

Oversee data integrity, gift processing accuracy, and end-to-end management of the Raiser’s Edge/NXT CRM and related fundraising platforms.

Develop an annual CRM plan to advance database use, reporting capabilities, and automation.

Serve as primary CRM administrator: manage access, user setup, oversight of data protocols, troubleshooting and vendor support.

Partner with data entry staff to coordinate gift entry and acknowledgement workflows.

Configure and manage online donation and event registration forms.
-
Build queries, exports, and dashboards to support campaigns, events, membership strategy, stewardship, and prospect research.

Document and maintain data standards, policies, procedures, and SOPs; deliver ongoing staff training.

Support reconciliation with Finance and assist with audit requests.

Track emerging CRM best practices and recommend system improvements and upgrades.
Annual Giving + Direct Response Campaigns

Execute the annual giving strategy to meet revenue goals through direct mail, Colorado Gives Day, peer-to-peer giving, and giving days.

Lead project management for direct mail campaigns: audience selection, messaging, segmentation strategy, vendor coordination, list acquisition, budgeting, and timeline management.

Consult on digital campaigns and coordinate messaging with Marketing/Communications.

Steward annual donors through personalized outreach and impact messaging.
-
Identify prospects and create targeted solicitation strategies.
-
Collaborate with Marketing/Communications to integrate storytelling, segmentation insights, and testing strategies.
-
Track and report performance metrics; adjust plans to optimize ROI.
Friends Membership Program

Develop annual membership goals, strategies, and KPIs.
-
Grow the sustaining (monthly) donor segment as a core component of membership strategy, including development of acquisition, upgrade, and retention campaigns that drive scalable long-term revenue.

Execute membership communications, renewals, acknowledgements, and benefits fulfillment.

Produce consistent engagement and stewardship campaigns for prospective, new, renewing, and lapsed members.

Monitor membership trends, evaluate engagement opportunities, and implement new benefits.

Partner with Development staff to identify and cultivate members with higher giving capacity.

Generate member solicitation lists and contribute to prospect research.

Manage monthly renewal mailings and email communications.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Organizational Support

Partner with Events & Corporate Giving staff to build ticketing and registration platforms, manage event data, and support night-of fundraising processes (guest check-in, paddle raises, reporting).

Contribute to strategic planning, forecasting, and cross-departmental fundraising initiatives.

Support execution of strategic plan goals by improving systems, processes, reporting, and donor engagement strategies.

Support development and marketing collateral creation, donor communications, and campaign messaging.
-
Serve occasionally as front desk/back-up support and provide customer service as needed. Note: This duty is shared with other staff.

Represent the Foundation at events; strengthen donor stewardship and organizational reputation.
Qualifications

2–5+ years of experience in fundraising or advancement services, including donor database experience and annual giving responsibilities.

Demonstrated experience with Raiser’s Edge/NXT strongly preferred; CRM automation experience a plus.

Event platform management experience.

Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.

Skilled in data reporting, querying, list segmentation, and documentation.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.

Ability to collaborate effectively, communicate with clarity, and maintain confidentiality.

A passion for library services, civic engagement, literacy, education, or mission-driven work.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range for this position is $45,000–$60,000, commensurate with experience and responsibilities.
