Denver Preschool Program’s (DPP) vision is that every child in Denver enters kindergarten ready to reach their full potential. Our mission is to increase access to quality early childhood education programs for all Denver children in their last year of preschool before kindergarten and, in collaboration with preschool providers across the city, to raise the level of quality preschool programming. DPP is an innovative organization, delivering quality programming while exploring the frontier of how to better serve Denver’s children and families. Staff work collaboratively on shared goals while also executing in high quality and efficient ways on independent streams of work. We are a small staff with a big impact.

Job Summary:
This is a part-time (20-25 hours/week) position to assist the Senior Program Manager- UPK in providing technical assistance and customer service to Denver families and providers related to DPP’s role as the Local Coordinating Organization (LCO) for the Universal Preschool Colorado (UPK) program for Denver.
Position Requirements:
Due to the nature of this position and its role in supporting the organization’s LCO’s responsibilities, this position will require a combination of in-office and remote work (hybrid schedule), attendance at UPK partner meetings as needed, and site visits as needed. This position requires reliable transportation and proximity to Denver. This position may also require light lifting of 10-15 lbs. of office supplies and meeting materials.
Job Duties:
Technical Assistance and Customer Service
Assist Denver families and providers with:
o Completing UPK applications
o Onboarding providers to the UPK online platform
o Seat management for providers
o Supporting UPK online platform utilization
Project Management
Managing technical assistance ticketing caseload, resolving tickets, and assigning for follow up as appropriate
o Managing and withdrawing duplicate applications in the UPK online platform
o Managing seat decline requests
o Assisting the Senior Program Manager-UPK with provider case management as needed
o Supporting the Senior Program Manager-UPK with any UPK related tasks as assigned, including outreach
Collaboration
Collaborate with other DPP departments, LCOs and the Colorado Department of Early Childhood (CDEC) as needed
Qualifications:
Education: An associate or bachelor’s degree in ECE, education, non-profit management, data entry, business administration or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Experience: Professional or lived experience within the early childhood ecosystem
Competencies:
Communicator – excellent written and oral skills; high level of emotional intelligence; bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required
Planning and organizing – strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize time efficiently, handling multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines on a timely basis; superior organizational skills and project management abilities
Problem solver – resolves challenges in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully to make sound, informed decisions
Tech savvy – experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, google docs, online database and development of reports; familiar with conference calling; able to learn new software quickly

Adaptable – adapts to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands and is able to deal positively with frequent change, delays or unexpected events

Work Environment:
Location: Hybrid in Denver, CO; includes two days of in-office work (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) each week at DPP’s headquarters (305 Park Ave West, Ste B, Denver, CO 80205). Remote work for the remaining hours each week.
Schedule: Part-Time, 20-25 hours per week, Non- Exempt Position. Able to work occasional evenings and weekends for events or meetings if needed.
