Reports to: Senior Manager – Content                           Salary Range: $19 – $22.50/hour

 

At the Davis Phinney Foundation, we help people with Parkinson’s live well today. Resources such as tools, education, and experiences are just a few of the ways we help make the lives of those we serve better. Since 2004, the Foundation has brought to life some of the most important programs and research for those affected by Parkinson’s. Our community includes people living with Parkinson’s, Parkinson’s care partners, families, and friends in addition to physicians and allied health professionals.  

POSITION OVERVIEW & PURPOSE
The Program Associate position supports our work by providing direct support for assigned program(s). This role is an essential contact and go-to resource for speakers and community members alike. The Program Associate is integral in shaping the experience of our community members by responding to social media and email inquiries, publishing resources, organizing meetings, managing workflows, collecting feedback, creating connections, and more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With guidance from manager and other Foundation leaders, support the creation and delivery of virtual and in-person programming and resources to members of the community (e.g., written blogs, live and pre-recorded webinars and meetups, podcasts).
  • In collaboration with the Marketing team and other staff, help execute strategy and support the engagement of participants and partners in the Foundation’s content initiatives.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation of program efficacy through data collection and regular tracking of assigned metrics.
  • Organize project workflow using Monday.com and other tools.
  • Other duties and tasks as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES 

  • Experience with digital project management tools, approaches, and workflows
  • Proven relationship-management skills
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a respectful and empowering way
  • Ability to create meaningful connections and experiences primarily over digital channels
  • Experience with educational content via digital media
  • Detail-oriented, highly responsive, and able to simultaneously manage multiple requests or projects 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to clearly, persuasively, and accurately write and lightly edit written materials
  • Can-do attitude
  • Willing to learn and accept feedback 
  • Proficient in Office 365 applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with WordPress (e.g., tags, categories, drafting and editing) and Canva (e.g., digital image manipulation)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 

  • High school diploma required
  • Three or more years’ experience managing projects, implementing organizational systems, and/or other related activity
  • Experience with communities navigating health issues
  • Proficient in donor database, preferably Blackbaud CRM
