Here’s What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a highly motivated, creative and personable individual to become our Proposal and Communications Marketer devoted to helping the firm reach goals by working collaboratively with our team members in creating and producing proposals that communicate our approach and help drive our business success. This role also includes involvement in traditional and innovative marketing communication tactics, an aggressive online marketing strategy and a variety of miscellaneous responsibilities such as internal and external event coordination with other team members.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in English, literature, journalism, marketing and/or communications
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in proposal, marketing and/or a communications
- Self-motivated personality, proactive attitude, and strong organization skills
- Attention to detail and high standards of work quality
- Highly skilled with InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite applications. Strong knowledge of databases, MS Office apps and other programs beneficial to the position
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and be a team player
Expectations/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support of the firm’s philosophy – vision, mission and culture
- An interest in developing a working understanding of the business and practice of Landscape Architecture
- Plan, schedule, facilitate and attend weekly proposal meetings, monthly firm marketing and business development meetings and follow up with post meeting notes and team assignments
- Lead the collection and assembly of materials for proposals and RFQ’s
- Establish, communicate, and implement RFP/RFQ production deadlines and expectations
- Develop, write, edit and proofread proposals in a time sensitive nature with the input of others
- Effective writing skills in persuasive, creative and content-marketing writing
- Facilitate collaborative proposal processes with multiple coworkers, sometimes under tight deadlines
- Keep resumes, project descriptions, contact email lists and related marketing materials up to date and relevant
- Track, coordinate and schedule project photography
- Coordinate and prepare project award submittals
- Work with the internal Online Marketing and Social Media team to develop and implement messaging tactics and content marketing
- Track potential project opportunities and provide support in the business development planning process
- Assist staff with interview, presentation materials, conference booth composition, etc.
- Lead and coordinate promotional efforts, publications, publicity, social media and market research
- Be actively involved in appropriate professional organizations and professional development organizations
- Track and keep mailing lists and Contact email list current
- Support staff with travel accommodations such as flights, hotels and car rentals for project interviews, projects, conferences, and seminars
- Support with registering staff for conferences, seminars, and educational sessions throughout the year
- Support other staff when extra help is needed

This position can be hybrid with an expectation that you will be in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.
