As we grow, we are searching for an experienced Director of Marketing to lead and manage our marketing department and brand through a balanced mix of traditional and digital strategies. This role will focus on high-impact, cost effective marketing tactics tailored to the residential services industry, while also enhancing our employment brand and fostering a culture of employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Manage and execute the overall marketing strategy incorporating both traditional and digital channels, with a focus on cost-effective lead generation, brand awareness, and customer retention in the residential services industry.
- Develop the annual marketing plan and budget, setting strategic objectives and goals while defining key initiatives. Design an efficient allocation of resources to support these initiatives. Track spending and adjust tactics throughout the year to maximize return on investment (ROI) and align with business goals.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a small team of marketing professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as customer service, HR, and operations, to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives and overall business objectives.
- Report directly to the President, providing insights on campaign performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.
Traditional and Digital Marketing Execution:
- Oversee both traditional and digital marketing efforts, including direct mail campaigns, email marketing, and radio / tv ads, as well as digital strategies such as Local Service Ads (LSA), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns.
- Monitor lead quality across all channels to maximize ROI. Identify, monitor, and analyze marketing performance metrics, providing insights to evaluate effectiveness and areas for improvement.
- Oversee content creation and management for social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram) ensuring a positive brand image for engagement with both customers and employees. Monitor engagement levels, respond to comments, and leverage social media to enhance brand reputation.
- Drive marketing innovation, including exploring new technologies, platforms, and strategies to differentiate the brand in a competitive market.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and our evolving customer needs to adapt marketing strategies.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Vendor & Partnership Management:
- Collaborate with industry and functional experts to ensure top performance while managing multiple vendors, including those for website management, SEO, PR, and media buying. Ensure optimal performance and consistently achieve measurable goals through effective vendor oversight and partnership.
- Manage and optimize sponsorship partnerships with groups such as professional sports teams to secure premium placements and create engaging brand experiences.
Customer & Employee Engagement:
- Monitor and analyze Net Promoter Score (NPS) data to use insights to inform strategy and improve customer experiences. Collaborate with internal teams to implement initiatives aimed at increasing NPS and fostering long-term customer relationships.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the company’s employment brand, working closely with HR to highlight company culture, values, and employee success stories.
- Champion employee engagement programs, manage internal communications, recognition initiatives, and create marketing material that attracts candidates and boosts team morale.
- Oversee the planning and management of employee events ensuring alignment with engagement goals and company culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing (and 5+ years of management experience preferred) utilizing a balanced mix of traditional and digital strategies within the residential services industry (plumbing, HVAC, electrical a plus).
- Proven track record in managing successful direct mail, email marketing campaigns, along with experience in digital marketing, including social media management.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with home services CRM and/or ERP systems desired (ServiceTitan experience a plus).
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a history of leading marketing teams known for their strength in working effectively across functional lines.
- Experience with internal marketing including employment branding strategies and employee engagement initiatives.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies for optimum results.
- Experience in budget management and optimization for marketing spend.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting to senior leadership.
