The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is a professional who performs all employee lifecycle events and HR services for the company, including recruitment and staffing, employee relations, benefits administration and payroll. Will work collaboratively with hiring managers to align the evolving organization needs with a team-oriented structure. This position will be a brand ambassador for the company’s unique company culture.

Description

The Human Resources Coordinator is a multi-faceted role focused on a broad range of HR functions.  This position is the “can do, go to” person for our current and prospective employees.  With the support of the Director of Finance & Administration, this position is the sole owner of the full cycle recruitment process including job posting, interviews and onboarding new hires.  Duties and responsibilities may span multiple functional areas such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services. Routine administrative support is also required in terms of organizing files, editing documentation, drafting letters, coordinating schedules, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and supporting other staff. Essential Duties 

  • Performs all duties related to recruiting including placing advertisements, resume review, phone screening, interviews and all follow up.

  • Responsible for Onboarding of Employees – new hire paperwork, enrolling employee in Paycom (HRIS), updating Elite permanent files as well as maintaining/updating these files throughout the year.   

  • Oversee the recognition of life events for employees (i.e birthdays, weddings, deaths, get well, etc.) 

  • Manage the Employee Benefits programs – Health/Dental/Vision Insurance, Workers Compensation, Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts, COBRA administration and 401K enrollment. 

  • Maintains confidential employee files, as well as ensures compliance with employment laws and record keeping. 

  • Maintains an updated and accurate calendar as well as schedules appointments and office meetings as requested.  Manages PTO/PTA process. 

  • May be involved or process payroll on a biweekly basis, including updating records, and ensuring accuracy.
  • Ensures management is informed of deadlines and problems and resolves issues efficiently and effectively. 

  • Participates in the company Safety Committee to ensure a secure and safe environment for all employees. Also responsible for partnering with the Director of Operations for group safety trainings.
  • Responsible for various supplies orders and maintaining stock/inventory of staff uniforms & wearables. 

  • Assists President in comany special events and hosting guests, supports company annual events.  Other related duties, as assigned.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

  • Computer Skills:  Knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; inventory; order processing; and database software. 

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
