About CTRC
Founded in 1980, the Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center (CTRC) is the first therapeutic riding program in Colorado and one of the largest in the nation. Located on 39 acres in Boulder County, CTRC serves roughly 500 clients each year with the support of 15 dedicated staff, 28 therapy horses, and a 1,000 volunteer workforce.
As a PATH International Premier Accredited Center, CTRC provides the gold standard of equine-assisted services, including mental health programs, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and groundwork programs. We also offer corporate team-building events, grow a portion of our own hay, and serve as land stewards and community partners, collaborating with local nonprofits, health organizations, and universities.
Our Board of Directors ensures CTRC continues to thrive, innovate, and make a lasting difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
