Animal Welfare Jobs

Director of Conservation Operations

The National Wild Turkey Federation has an immediate need for a full-time Director of Conservation Operations in the West Region of the United States. This region would include Washington, Oregon, Idaho, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona and New Mexico. The selected individual must reside in one of the states within the region.

The primary objective of a Director of Conservation Operations (DCO) is to deliver the NWTF’s conservation mission at the Regional, state and local level via the Save the Habitat. Save the Hunt. Initiative (STH2). This is accomplished by working in partnership with other NWTF field staff, NWTF volunteers and chapters, state and federal agencies and corporate partners. The work of the DCO should result in improved investment of NWTF funds through quality project development and selection, along with identifying and securing matching funds. In addition, it’s imperative that each DCO be familiar with regional conservation priorities and develop their work plan accordingly.
