We are Colorado Ski Country USA (CSCUSA) and we’re in the fun business. CSCUSA is the Denver-based not-for-profit trade association representing 20 ski areas across Colorado, including small, medium, and large ski areas. CSCUSA’s areas of focus include government affairs, communications and skier/rider growth. The Office Administrator is a supportive force in each of these areas.

We’re looking for someone who is friendly, extremely well-organized, who pays great attention to detail and quality control, and has a strong work ethic and a positive, infectious attitude. To be real: This is an in-office, hourly, non-exempt position. You will work 15-20 hours per week on a regular schedule. There is some flexibility on the exact days and hours that will be part of this regular schedule, so the position is a great one if you’d like to work around school drop-off and pick-up, for example. It is a year-round position and it is NOT a work-from-home position. The ideal candidate for this position is a flexible problem solver who has superb organization and communication skills and has a detail-oriented mindset. If you love skiing or snowboarding—all the better!
Position Summary
The Office Administrator (OA) will ensure general management of CSCUSA’s office by overseeing company facilities, office functions, equipment and services. The OA will serve as the primary liaison between CSCUSA staff and building management, management of certain vendors and suppliers, will interface, coordinate meetings and maintain certain financial records. The OA will provide some limited executive assistant support to the CSCUSA President and CEO, and carry out a wide variety of administrative duties and some Human Resources responsibilities. The OA reports to the CSCUSA President and CEO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and organization
- Track, replenish and order office supplies; oversee leasing, purchasing, maintenance and operation of office equipment
- Answer phone calls and emails and direct inquiries to the appropriate team member
- Carry out a variety of administrative duties including but not limited to filing, collecting information from members and maintaining records, copying, scanning, creating and maintaining databases of membership information and invoicing and tracking payments
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality around certain business information and records
- Act as primary liaison with building management
- Assist with onboarding new employees and maintain key employment documents
- Act as primary liaison with various business and employee insurance brokers and administrators
- Act as primary liaison with CSCUSA’s IT consultant
- Schedule, organize logistics of and attend meetings of the CSCUSA Board of Trustees, prepare minutes and record all decisions
- Liaise with CSCUSA’s accountant and handle some financial tasks
- Develop and maintain office operations budget; track ongoing office expenses to budget
- Provide administrative and logistical support for the organization and execution of CSCUSA’s Annual Meeting
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Job Requirements
- 2+ years of office administration/business operations experience
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook combined with a tech savvy outlook that welcomes learning and adopting new platforms and programs
- Advanced written, interpersonal, organizational and verbal communications skills
- Must be a confident self-starter who possesses tenacity, curiosity and a love for detail
- Ability to listen intently and follow directions; willing to ask questions when directions aren’t understood
- Associate’s Degree or High School diploma combined with OA experience
- Ability to travel within Colorado on a limited basis
- Reliable, dependable, flexible and responsive; must be available to work outside of normally scheduled hours on limited occasions
- Committed to treating all colleagues, members, partners, stakeholders and customers with respect, fairness and decency always
- Must be periodically able to lift packages weighing up to 40 pounds
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with the ski/snowboard industry or travel/tourism industry
- Experience with Quickbooks
Salary Range:
This is a part-time, non-exempt position based in CSCUSA’s offices in Denver, Colorado and has an hourly pay range of $27-$32/hour depending on experience. The compensation range is intended to be a good faith estimate of the hiring range for this position. This is NOT a work-from-home position. Job responsibilities may include rare off-hours troubleshooting.
