Summary of Position
The CaFÉ™ and ZAPP® communications and marketing manager will manage all inbound and outbound communications and marketing efforts for the CaFÉ and ZAPP programs. This position will create and disseminate external-facing communications, including newsletters, product announcements, system alerts, customer support material, sales material, and website text. The role will also develop and manage strategic marketing plans for CaFÉ and ZAPP, including creating marketing campaigns, managing social ads, and building and maintaining sponsorship and advertising relationships. Heavily focused on content creation, this communications and marketing manager should be adept at tailoring messages for diverse audiences and creating content for multiple channels.
This position will coordinate the organization’s efforts to present a cohesive, professional, consistent voice for the CaFÉ and ZAPP audiences. As this role will vary between communications and marketing work for two distinct audiences, they will be adept at frequently and seamlessly switching roles. 

Essential Functions

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the success of marketing and communications campaigns and strategies that align with business and organizational goals. 

  • Draft and/or edit all internal and external communication, including but not limited to newsletters, blogs, help material, website text, business updates, and operational manuals and policies. 

  • Oversee and create marketing, communications, and sales collateral, and ensure consistency with the organization and SaaS brands. 

  • Manage WordPress content on CaFE and ZAPP sales sites, help centers, and blogs. 

  • Manage CaFÉ's e-blast program, developing and deploying strategies to meet budget goals. 

  • Manage and monitor the success of CaFÉ and ZAPP social media content, ads, and interactions, reporting out monthly or as needed to business teams. 

  • Participate in long and short-term planning processes, developing and managing initiatives that advance CaFÉ, ZAPP and Creative West business goals. 

  • Create and execute industry-related and product/system webinars.

  • Represent Creative West at relevant conferences and events in the sector.

  • Participate in cross-collaboration with the MarComm team, supporting organizational alignment and storytelling efforts. 

  • Perform other duties as may be assigned
     

Competencies and Desired Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Excels at avoiding ambiguity, tailoring their messages to be easily understood, and adapting their tones to suit different audiences and situations. 

  • Content creation and video editing. Proficiency with content development tools and ability to generate creative, accessible, and accurate content in multiple formats. Experience with Canva and Adobe Premiere preferred. 

  • Digital content and social media strategy. Proficiency in social media and digital content marketing, staying abreast of trends in these spheres. 

  • Ability to adapt to changing needs of role and organization

  • High degree of self-accountability. Takes ownership of work, uses independent judgment, makes business-aligned decisions, and follows through on commitments in the time frame required without requiring constant supervision.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Comfortable facilitating productive discussions, building consensus, and ensuring alignment across departments on program-related initiatives.

  • Commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion. Possess experience or are willing to learn more and adopt practices that support these commitments. 

  • Proficiency with software and technical tools. Quick technology adapters with experience and/or can quickly learn customer relationship management (CRM) systems, WordPress, and project management systems.

Compensation
This is a manager position. The salary range for this position is $51,538 to $87,908. Starting salary will be established based on the skills and competencies the candidate will provide to achieve the essential and preferred functions.
