Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer / Data Scientist with a strong background in telecom technologies (4G/5G and WiFi) and deep hands-on expertise in data engineering, geospatial analytics, and large-scale ETL workflows. This role supports strategic network, performance, and analytics initiatives for a major telecom client. The ideal candidate combines advanced technical skills with strong business communication and presentation abilities.
Key Responsibilities

Lead advanced data engineering and data science initiatives across telecom datasets, including 4G/5G, WiFi, RF, and performance-based data.

Develop, optimize, and automate ETL pipelines using Python, SQL, and other modern data tools.

Build, maintain, and analyze geospatial models and mapping datasets to support network planning and performance analytics.

Work with large datasets across Postgres, AWS, and other Big Data environments.

Design and build complex workflows in Alteryx; contribute thought leadership to data process improvements.

Present findings, dashboards, and insights to technical and executive-level stakeholders.

Partner with cross-functional engineering and analytics teams to support network strategy and business decisions.
Required Skills & Experience

10+ years of telecom experience, including solid understanding of 4G/5G fundamentals and WiFi fundamentals.

10+ years of data engineering/data science experience working with large, complex datasets.

5+ years of Alteryx experience (Advanced or Expert-level certification strongly preferred).

Strong experience with geospatial datasets, mapping, and spatial analytics.

Strong background with Big Data platforms (Postgres, AWS, etc.).

Excellent ETL and data pipeline development skills using Python, SQL, and related technologies.

Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

Must be local to the Denver metro area.
