Position Summary
The Director of Finance & Administration serves as the financial steward and operational partner of the American Snowsports Education Association (ASEA) / national office of the Professional Ski Instructors of America-American Association of Snowboard Instructors (PSIA-AASI), ensuring the organization’s long-term sustainability, transparency, and effectiveness in advancing professional snowsports education nationwide.
This role leads all accounting, financial planning, compliance, and administrative operations while partnering closely with the CEO, staff leaders, regional partners, and the Board of Directors to provide clear financial insight that informs strategy, growth, and responsible resource allocation.
As a member-focused association and 501c6 nonprofit, ASEA exists to serve individual instructors, member schools and resorts, and the broader snowsports industry. The Director ensures that financial practices directly support these stakeholders by strengthening the organization’s capacity to deliver high-quality education, events, credentials, scholarships, and industry partnerships. Success in this role means aligning sound financial management with mission impact—translating resources into meaningful value for members and the communities they serve.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who can both execute day-to-day accounting and think strategically about systems, reserves, risk management, and operational improvement. This is a right-sized leadership role for a growing national nonprofit association with approximately $3–$5M in annual revenue and multiple revenue streams including membership, events, education programs, sponsorships, and foundation support.

Joining ASEA means contributing to a mission-driven organization where financial leadership directly enables member success, regional strength, and industry growth.
