Who We Are
El Comité de Longmont is a social justice and human and legal services organization established to meet the needs of the Latino and immigrant communities in Longmont and Boulder County. As the only fully bilingual and bicultural social service provider in the county, and one of the few Latino-founded, -run and -serving organizations in the county, our services are vital for the over 3,000 people we serve annually, 99% of whom are Latino.
Our programs expand social connections and build concrete support around our participants, and as a result, enhance resilience, economic stability, for Latinos and immigrants in the community. Our core services include walk-in services, legal access and support, adult education classes, and community engagement.
The Role
The El Comité Development Director is a new position created to lead and implement fundraising in a growing organization. This dynamic and creative leader will work alongside the Executive Director, who sets the fundraising tone and character, to collaboratively develop and implement strategies that drive revenue generation, donor management, and capacity building. The successful candidate will be a strategic, fun, and authentic fundraiser who supports the overall organizational mission by securing new financial resources, cultivating and stewarding donors, planning and managing events, supporting communications and raising community awareness.
Strategy & Planning
● Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to support goals including major gifts, annual campaigns and events.
● Plan, organize and manage 2-3 events and 6-12 community-hosted house parties per year.
● Interact with, present to and guide fundraising activities with the board of directors.
Donor Relations
● Identify and manage a portfolio of key donors, working to steward and build relationships.
● Lead efforts to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward major donors, and corporate partners.
● Identify prospective and existing donors for the ED to contact.
● Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM system and track fundraising progress.
Communications and Engagement
● Deliver clear, compelling, and culturally appropriate content to donors, current and potential supporters.
● Support the Executive Director in developing content for newsletters and digital campaigns.
● Ensure externally facing branding and marketing is consistent.
● Work closely with programs to support web strategy and website updates.
● Use data to drive decisions for marketing strategies including donor engagement.
● Cultivate stories and images to help reinforce the mission and impact.
● Identify opportunities for community awareness marketing.
Organizational Leadership
● Work closely with programs to support web strategy and website updates.
● Build strong cross-departmental relationships to facilitate collaboration and engagement.
● Promote a positive culture, build relationships across the organization, initiate organizational improvements when appropriate, and actively promote the mission.

Required Qualifications
● Minimum of 3 years experience in development/fundraising leadership or related roles.
● Experience developing and implementing fundraising strategies that meet or exceed targets.
● Experience in event planning and management.
● Knowledge of donor communications, storytelling and campaign strategy.
● Great interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
● Bilingual in Spanish and English verbal and written is strongly preferred.
● Comfort level working in a bilingual and bicultural workplace.
● Experience with with fundraising specific CRM databases, preferably Bloomerang
● Proven capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
● Driver’s license and insurance.
What We Can Offer You
● Hiring range of: $70,000-$85,000
● Onsite with a 9/80 schedule, every other Friday off
● Employee contributed Health Insurance plus HRA benefit of $1500 per year

● 12 days of Vacation Leave, 9 holidays, 12 days of sick leave per year
