JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the Development Team, the Donor Operations Manager is responsible for managing the operational systems needed to support the fundraising function of the organization. This individual provides excellent customer service to donors and development team members by ensuring accurate record keeping and identifying and maintaining the necessary systems to solicit and steward donors effectively.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage and maintain primary fundraising CRM
  • Provide financial tracking, reporting and organizational support
  • Responsible for accurate and timely recording of all gift transactions. Works in collaboration with the Annual Giving Manager to cover all gift processing and Finance team for monthly reconciliation
  • Prepare and pull lists for various development communications
  • Ensures donors receive prompt and accurate receipts/gift acknowledgments
  • In collaboration with VP of Development, identifies emerging tools that facilitate development operations functions and determines feasibility of integrating new products for better efficiency and improved donor experience
  • Manages vendor relationships
  • Responsible for processing large amounts of data through imports and exports using different products/platforms.
  • Maintains data integrity and ensures consistent, accurate and timely database updates
  • Works collaboratively with utility companies to ensure customer donations are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Analyzes data and produces reports for leadership which drive fundraising strategy

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work with and through others internally and externally
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience with Raisers Edge, Microsoft programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, Raisers Edge and other fundraising platforms
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • 2-3 years of experience with Raiser’s Edge
  • Experience integrating multiple fundraising and marketing platforms
  • Strong Excel skills. Ease with technology and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field
  • Experience working in fundraising
  • Experience with digital engagement or marketing
  • Experience providing excellent service to a diverse customer base

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, talking, hearing, driving

Work Environment

  • Hybrid – office location in downtown Denver 1-2 days per week and employees’ home or remote location in Metro Denver
  • Ability to attend team and organization-wide events at downtown Denver office on a regular basis
