Description

Marketing + Brand Manager

Denver, CO  |  Full-Time, Salaried ($90,000 – $95,000 base + $10,000 annual bonus)

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Traverse Fitness is looking for a strategic, creative, and community-driven Marketing + Brand Manager to lead our marketing function and accelerate the growth of our fitness community. You'll own the full marketing strategy: brand presence, funnel and conversion, lifecycle and CRM, paid media, and go-to-market planning for existing and new studio openings.

This is a strategic leadership seat. You set the direction and lead the team that brings it to life. If you love building strategy, understanding exactly where your members and prospects are and how to reach them, and leading a small, sharp team, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Marketing & Brand Strategy

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, membership growth, engagement, and retention

  • Own and execute 360 marketing campaigns while working cross-functionally to support studio programming from all sides of the business

  • Establish and maintain a consistent Traverse Fitness brand voice across social media, digital channels, in-studio experiences, events, partnerships, and community initiatives

  • Develop annual and monthly marketing plans aligned with business and membership goals

  • Identify emerging trends within the fitness, wellness, social media, and lifestyle industries and translate them into actionable marketing opportunities

  • Manage day-to-day marketing priorities and ensure campaigns and initiatives are executed on time and on brand

Growth, Funnel & Lifecycle Marketing

  • Own and execute lifecycle/email marketing and CRM & SMS strategy (XplorGrowth, MarianaTek)

  • Own and execute funnel and conversion optimization, tightening the path from lead to member

  • Own and execute paid media strategy, channel mix, and budget allocation

  • Track and deeply understand where prospective members are and how to reach them, using audience and segment data to inform channel and campaign strategy

Social Media & Content Strategy

  • Own the overall social media strategy across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other relevant channels.
Set social media strategy and brand voice across channels

  • Direct and review the Digital Content & Social Media Specialist's output for strategic alignment and brand consistency

  • Help position Traverse Fitness as a recognizable and influential fitness brand within the Denver market

Membership Growth & Conversion

  • Identify key areas of opportunity to support growth and retainment of members at a high percentage throughout both Traverse Fitness studios (class availability, access to classes and equipment)

  • Develop marketing strategies designed to increase leads, trial participation and conversion into paying members

  • Develop campaigns, promotions, referral programs and member communications that drive conversion

  • Analyze marketing performance and membership data to understand what is driving new-member acquisition

  • Establish measurable KPIs for marketing initiatives and communicate results to Senior Leadership

Reporting & KPI Ownership

  • Own marketing KPI tracking and reporting across funnel, email, social, and paid channels

  • Use data to continuously refine strategy and pinpoint where members and prospects actually are

Team Leadership

  • Directly manage the Digital Content & Social Media Specialist and other internal/external marketing team members and 3rd party vendors: set priorities, review output, and coach performance

  • Establish clear priorities, responsibilities, and performance expectations across the marketing team

  • Delegate projects effectively while maintaining accountability for deadlines and quality

  • Foster a collaborative, creative and results-oriented team culture

  • Work cross-functionally with coaches, studio leadership membership/sales teams, and ownership

  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships as needed to supplement the core team

  • Serve as the senior marketing voice, partnering with the COO and cross-functional leads (the Events & Community Outreach lead for events and community, GMs for local market needs)

WHO YOU ARE

  • 4 to 6 years of marketing, brand, or social media experience, ideally within fitness, wellness, hospitality, or lifestyle brands

  • Proven track record developing and executing social media and brand strategy

  • Demonstrated ability to build marketing programs that drive measurable business results, particularly lead generation and conversion

  • Experience in leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, accelerate content and campaign development, and increase the overall output of the marketing function.

  • Experience owning lifecycle/email marketing and CRM systems

  • Experience managing and developing a small team

  • Strong understanding of social media trends, content strategy, and digital marketing, even while directing rather than personally producing

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong project management skills, comfortable owning multiple priorities and a launch calendar

  • Data-fluent, comfortable tracking KPIs and translating them into strategy

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Funnel conversion and email/lifecycle performance trend up quarter over quarter, with measurable improvement in lead-to-member conversion rate

  • Marketing KPIs are tracked, understood, and used to make real strategic decisions, not just reported after the fact

  • The Digital Content & Social Media Specialist is clear on priorities, coached well, and producing consistently

  • Brand voice stays consistent and authentic across every channel

  • A go-to-market plan is thoughtfully developed and ready to activate when the next studio launch approaches, not an immediate priority today

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

  • Full-time, salaried: $90,000 – $95,000 base plus a $10,000 annual bonus tied to performance

  • Benefits offered: Medical, Colorado Secure Savings IRA

  • Complimentary Traverse membership

  • Semi-annual performance evaluations

WORK SCHEDULE EXPECTATIONS

This role is primarily in-person to support close collaboration with the studio teams, with flexibility for strategic and administrative work. Hours increase meaningfully in the 4 to 6 months ahead of a new studio launch.

If you love the mix of strategy and leadership, and you're ready to own both, we'd love to meet you.
