Description

Digital Content + Social Media Specialist

Denver, CO  |  Full-Time ($70,000 – $75,000 base + up to $10,000 bonus potential)

Reports to: Marketing + Brand Manager

Traverse Fitness is a growing fitness community in Denver dedicated to building an authentic, energizing, and supportive space for our Members. We're looking for a talented, story-driven Digital Content & Social Media Specialist to capture the energy of our studios, classes, coaches, and community, and turn it into content that drives awareness, engagement, and membership growth.

This is a hands-on production and social management role. You'll shoot, edit, post, and engage, working closely with the Marketing + Brand Manager on direction while owning day-to-day content execution yourself. If you have a strong visual eye, natural storyteller, live and breathe social media, possess strong editing and post production skills, and want to build a real fitness brand's presence, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Content Production & Videography

  • Film, photograph, and edit high-quality, authentic content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant platforms

  • Edit content quickly and efficiently, keeping pace with trends, audio and formats relevant to the fitness and wellness space

  • Capture classes, coaches, member stories, events and behind-the-scenes studio culture in a way that feels genuine and on-brand to Traverse Fitness

  • Produce upwards of 3 short form video content per week across multiple social platforms

  • Produce all paid media campaign video and photo assets

  • Cover signature annual events (Traverse Games, Off the Grid, Uphills Ski/Run/Hike/Breakfast Club, HYROX) with pre-event, during-event, and post-event content

  • Stay available for ad hoc, in-the-moment capture as it happens in the studio, beyond what's on the scheduled content calendar

  • Support in-studio events, activations, and community initiatives with real-time content coverage

  • Stay current on video and social trends, formats, and tools relevant to the fitness and wellness space

Social Media Management

  • Execute the day-to-day social media calendar in partnership with the Marketing & Brand Manager

  • Write engaging captions, hooks and calls-to-action consistent with the Traverse Fitness brand voice.

  • Manage member and prospect DMs and community engagement on a daily cadence

  • Own scheduling, publishing and community management across all social platforms

  • Monitor comments, messages, and mentions and respond promptly and authentically to build community engagement

  • Stay current on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook trends, formats, and algorithm best practices

  • Support paid social media efforts, including setting up, launching, and managing paid ad campaigns (e.g., Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads) to support membership growth, promotions, and content amplification

Content Planning & Collaboration

  • Partner with the Marketing + Brand Manager on content calendar and strategic direction

  • Coordinate with the Project Manager + Events Lead on event coverage planning

  • Coordinate with GMs for in-studio access and coach/member participation

Performance & Reporting

  • Track content-level performance (engagement, reach, follower growth) and report to the Marketing + Brand Manager

  • Use performance data to continuously refine content approach

WHO YOU ARE

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in social media, videography, or content production, ideally within fitness, wellness, or lifestyle brands

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating short-form video work suited for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other relevant social media platforms

  • Mastery with video editing software (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar)

  • Own or have reliable access to video and photo equipment appropriate for studio and event shoots

  • Deep familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including current trends, formats, and algorithm best practices

  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to capture a brand voice that feels authentic and engaging in captions and copy

  • Comfortable directing others (coaches, members) in front of the camera

  • Strong visual storytelling instincts, favoring authentic, engaging content over overly produced content

  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic studio environment

  • Strong organizational skills for managing footage, shoot schedules, and deliverables

  • Passion for fitness, wellness, and community-driven storytelling

  • Availability for evenings and weekends to support classes and events

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • The content calendar is hit consistently: Reels, Stories, and event coverage, all on schedule and posted per the calendar.

  • Social engagement and follower growth trend up quarter over quarter

  • Signature events (Traverse Games, Off the Grid, and others) are fully covered pre, during, and post

  • Brand voice stays authentic and consistent across every post

COMPENSATION + BENEFITS

  • Full-time: $70,000 – $75,000 base plus up to $10,000 in bonus potential, tied to performance

  • Benefits offered: Medical, Colorado Secure Savings IRA

  • Complimentary Traverse membership

  • Semi-annual performance evaluations
