Public Relations Spring Intern, Travel + Tourism

TURNER, a national boutique public relations and digital communications firm, is looking for an intern to join our travel & tourism team for the spring. Under the guidance of a TURNER team member, the internship will provide the selected candidate with the opportunity to gain experience working in a travel, tourism and lifestyle public relations firm. This position is available in our Denver office.

TURNER strives to make its internship program one of the best in the nation. Interns are introduced to a wide cross-section of public relations and digital media, including research, reporting, media and influencer relations, content development, social media, a whole lot of writing and special events. Interns are also involved in some broader office activities, including team meetings and brainstorming sessions. TURNER seeks to provide interns with the tactical experience that will help them build a meaningful resume and portfolio, in addition to meeting their individual needs and career goals.

Public Affairs Intern

POSITION SUMMARY: This position runs from November 2018 through June 2019. This position will assist the Public Affairs department with the daily activities of coordinating our Colorado General Assembly vote tracking project; preparing for and organizing meetings, special events and other meetings as necessary; and assisting with database and website updates. This position provides excellent experience in the Public Affairs field and the opportunity to work with one of the highest profile Public Affairs shops in Denver. This position requires early mornings with 6:30 a.m. start time on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The Broadmoor Human Resources Internship

Train on all duties pertaining to the Human Resources function. This includes but is not limited to recruitment, training, risk management, benefits, and employee relations. Intern may spend half of their internship in the training office and the other half in the employment office.

Corporate Communications Intern

At CoBank, our Corporate Communications Intern will be responsible for creating content for print, digital, marketing collateral and other communication channels. Content creation may be used for internal audiences, news media, customers, the public, executives or other key groups. In addition, this intern will assist with and attend employee, customer or industry meetings. A typical project as a Corporate Communications intern may include an in-depth analysis and assessment of CoBank’s current communication programs and provide recommendations for cross-channel optimization. CoBank interns learn real-life business skills and assist with a variety of projects that have impact on the bank’s operations. This is a paid position for undergraduate and graduate students working toward a degree in Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Marketing, Event Planning or related discipline.

In addition, various training courses are available throughout the summer and a temporary housing allowance is available for qualified interns.
