Event and Development Intern

Cupid’s Charity, a non-profit organization based in Denver, CO, is looking for an ambitious and
organized Event and Development Intern/Superhero to add to our crazy team. Cupid’s Charity
hosts annual events each year including our signature event in February, known as “Cupid’s
Undie Run.” This 1-mile underwear run and party is held in 40 plus cities nationwide. Cupid’s
Charity raises funds for the Children’s Tumor Foundation, the largest non-government funded
entity that conducts research to find a cure for the genetic disease Neurofibromatosis (NF).

Programs Intern

The Alliance Center is helping to create a world where our communities are inclusive, our democracy is strong, our economy thrives, and our planet is healthy. As a Programs Intern, you will have the opportunity to support this vision through work in three programmatic impact areas: Environment, Economy, and Communities. Our goals are to decrease GHG emissions, increase the number of environmentally and socially responsible businesses and deepen their positive impact, and diversify the sustainability movement in Colorado.

Position Summary: Working under the close supervision from the Director of Programs, the Programs Intern is responsible for providing programmatic, communications, and administrative support for our Climate Initiatives, Best for Colorado Program, and Communities (civic engagement) program doing research, data gathering, community-building, outreach, and event support ( including logistics and event metrics). This is a six-month temporary internship position with the potential for extension or turning into a full-time staff hire.

Communications Fellow

AfricAid is seeking an unpaid fellow to assist in the ongoing development and implementation of its communications efforts. The Communications Fellow will work under the direction of the Communication Director to manage social media and assist with other printed and online marketing materials. This position will require 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 8 hours at the AfricAid office and flexibility to complete the other hours from home or in the office. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months with preference given to those able to stay 9-12 months.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and expand AfricAid’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin and explore options for expansion. Manage everything from content creation, design, planning strategies and schedules, and completing daily posts.
· Assist with creation of online and print materials, such as invitations and newsletters.
· Draft content for print materials in collaboration with staff, including press releases, print and e-newsletters, and additional fundraising campaign materials.
· Update AfricAid blog and assist with other website maintenance on our WordPress site and help improve reach through Google AdGrants and SEO.
· Manage AfricAid’s online photo and video storage and support Communications Director with photo and video editing as needed.
· Research new opportunities for media coverage and online networking.
· Provide support for implementation of ongoing fundraising efforts and community events.
· Attend AfricAid team meetings and communications committee meetings.
· Assist Communication Director and volunteers with other tasks as necessary.

Research & Development Fellow

AfricAid is seeking an unpaid fellow to assist in the ongoing generation of funding prospects, including foundations, grants, and corporate sponsors. The Research and Development Fellow will work under the direction of the Development Director and Communications Director in the Denver office and collaborate with our Grant Writer in Tanzania. This position will require 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 8 hours at the AfricAid office and flexibility to complete the other hours from home or in the office. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months with preference given to those able to stay 6-12 months.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Conduct preliminary research on foundations and grants and create prospect list that includes background information, specific requirements, and deadlines.
· Assist in writing Letters of Inquiry and/or Grant Reports under supervision of AfricAid staff.
· Explore options for partnerships with community leaders and corporate sponsorships and record information for Development Director to follow up.
· Compile list of conferences, speaking opportunities, restaurant nights, service clubs, publications, and other opportunities to increase exposure and raise funds.
· Attend AfricAid team monthly meetings and development committee meetings.
· Assist Development Director, Communications Director, and/or Grant Writer with other tasks as necessary.

Nonprofit Administration Fellow

AfricAid is seeking an unpaid fellow to assist in administrative and operations activities related to fundraising, communications, and information management. The Nonprofit Administration Fellow will work under the direction of the Communications Director in the Denver office. This position will require 10-20 hours per week, with a minimum of 8 hours at the AfricAid office and flexibility to complete the other hours from home or in the office. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of 6 months with preference given to those able to stay 6-12 months.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Support knowledge management activities, including data entry and cleanup in GiftWorks and Salesforce databases and maintaining organized physical and digital records.
· Coordinate donation processing and follow up for checks and online gifts.
· Contribute to fundraising campaigns, grant writing, donor relations, community outreach, and event support
· Support communications efforts, such as coordinating mailings, updating donor records, and ensuring accuracy of online records
· Attend AfricAid team monthly meetings and appropriate committee meetings.
· Assist Communications Director and Development Director with other tasks as necessary.

Programs Intern

The Programs Department at First Descents is in need of a highly organized, self-motivated and passionate Programs Intern to support the coordination and execution of programs. This position is based at our Denver office. The Programs Intern must have strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills, strong computer skills and the willingness to support the Programs Department in a wide range of tasks and duties. It is imperative that the Programs Intern embodies the FD culture, and is passionate about the participants, building sustainable adventure communities and the mission of First Descents.

HR Intern

The City of Colorado Springs is seeking a highly motivated student intern who would like to gain experience in the various aspects of Human Resources. The City’s Human Resources department includes the functional areas of recruiting, benefit program administration, performance management, compliance, employee relations, safety, workers’ compensation and liability claims administration, occupational health clinic, employee medical clinic, and employee pharmacy. The intern will provide support to different areas within HR, should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and must be able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
You will work 20-25 hours per week during the normal work week of Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.

Sports Programs Intern

Gold Crown Foundation is looking for a Fall intern to assist in the administration and operation of youth athletic programs. This internship will provide experience and insight to students hoping for an administrative/management position in either youth, collegiate or professional athletics.
