The University of Denver is seeking candidates and nominees for the position of the Director of the Lamont School of Music, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2018. The Director serves as the chief administrator and fundraiser for the School, and reports to the Dean of the Divisions of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences (AHSS). The Director will provide galvanizing and strategic leadership for Lamont’s 300 students, 75 faculty, and 15 staff, cultivating Lamont’s strengths while molding and realizing the School’s vision and mission. The Director will be a charismatic spokesperson for Lamont within the University, the Denver arts community, and beyond at regional, national, and international levels. This position manages a complex budget and significant physical plant, oversees curricular development and implementation, and leads the community-supported Lamont Society. As such, it requires strong organizational, managerial, and fundraising skills along with effective outreach and interpersonal abilities.
