College Sports Reporter

The Denver Post is looking for an accomplished reporter who can break news and tell powerful stories on collegiate athletics in Colorado. This person must be a self-starter, comfortable working on all platforms and be able to juggle numerous short and long-term assignments.

Sports Editor

Evergreen Newspapers is looking for a creative and energetic sports editor to coordinate coverage of nine high schools for our three newspapers. The sports editor typically writes several stories a week and designs and copy edits the sports sections in our papers. This person schedules and supervises freelancers and also updates our websites. The position also entails working with the photo editor to coordinate assignments.

Marketing and Promotions Coordinator

Coordinates the execution of the marketing, promotions, internet, branding and sales vision for the Colorado Mammoth.
Develops in-house marketing initiatives / programs, helps create and execute strategy for reaching all publics (season ticket holders, non-sports mainstream/feature writers, specialized entertainment and business press, etc.); consults with management regarding corporate goals, communication themes and perceptions; develops/cultivates database for press contacts; identifies and promotes stories to the press; serves as company spokesperson; supports basketball media and internet personnel; assists in the development/production of new interactive initiatives, etc., on a regular basis.

Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator is part organization wizard, part event virtuoso, part detective and an all-star communicator. Under the guidance of the corporate marketing team, the Coordinator executes, tracks and reports key initiatives; directs year-round events; builds strong relationships within and outside the organization to accomplish corporate and department goals; conducts detailed and ongoing competitive/product research; and serves as the ultimate utility player to pitch in whenever and wherever support is needed – all this while delivering only the highest level of customer service and exemplifying the organization’s Mission and Core Values.

Manager, Marketing

The Manager, Marketing is responsible for the completion of the tasks listed herein. In addition, all tasks that are assigned by the Chief Marketing Officer will be the responsibility of the Manager, Marketing. Emphasis will be placed on ability to work in a team environment, creativity, accuracy and timeliness. Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in sport management, business, marketing or equivalent, master’s degree in sport management or business preferred. Minimum of four years of marketing experience required, preferably in the sports industry. Relevant agency and/or NGB or USOC experience is a plus. The applicant must have highly developed organization and planning skills; the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines; extensive written and verbal communication skills; the ability to establish rapport with local event organizing committees and be willing to travel and work some evening and weekend hours as needed for events. All candidates must have strong computer skills, preferably PC platforms, including word, excel, PowerPoint. Self-starters and ambitious problem solvers are encouraged to apply.
