This position supports student achievement by ensuring that the District’s public information program is aligned with District goals and drives specific behavior changes. Directs and facilitates the development of accurate and timely internal/external communication and information processes that contribute to and encourage community involvement in the District’s efforts to meet the communication needs of the District. The Communications Director serves as member of the Superintendent’s executive team. The Communications Director will attend executive team meetings to give advice on how to communicate changes and opportunities regarding District programs. This personal also serves as the information liaison between the total school system and the community at large. The Communications Director is an intermediary communicator between school administrators/officials and the media.
