The Colorado Mountain Club is seeking an innovative, business-minded and enthusiastic individual who has experience in planning domestic and international travel. The candidate will ideally be a seasoned traveler themselves. The position is part-time in nature (up to 20 hours/week) with the opportunity for a flexible schedule providing the chosen candidate the option to work from home, or from the Colorado Mountain Club offices (or a combination of both) during flexible hours. The Program Manager will lead the Adventure Travel Program with support from the volunteer-based AT Committee along with the CMC Marketing and Membership staff and Safety & Operations Director. This position will be responsible for the program’s overall direction, budget management, vetting of guide services and will be the primary liaison with the volunteer AT Committee. Collaborating with volunteers and facilitating volunteer work flows will be important as the AT Program Manager will also oversee the trip approval process and trip leader training process which relies heavily on dedicated volunteers. The Program Manager may also be asked to lead a select number of domestic and/or international trips themselves depending on experience and skill sets.
