Summary

Colorado Media Project (CMP) is seeking an organized and proactive Administrative/Operations Manager to support our mission of fostering a more sustainable, collaborative, and trusted local news ecosystem for Colorado.

Description

Since 2018, Colorado Media Project (CMP) has served as a central hub for a broad coalition concerned with the decline of reliable local news. We bring together civic leaders, students, academics, philanthropists, journalists, and others to address this challenge. As a nonpartisan philanthropic initiative, CMP works to advance innovations that strengthen Colorado’s local news, making it more equitable and accountable to the public. CMP operates as a funder, catalyst, and advocate within this dynamic environment.

CMP is a fiscally sponsored project of Rose Community Foundation. To date, we've raised over $6 million and made more than 280 grants to newsrooms and projects across Colorado. Our vision is a future where all Coloradans have access to high-quality local news and information they trust to engage with their communities and participate in democracy.

In February 2024, CMP became a local chapter of Press Forward, a national campaign to strengthen democracy by revitalizing local news. This partnership expands our capacity to support Colorado's news and information needs.
