Position Overview

The CX Partner Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies and campaigns primarily directed to existing and prospective customers. 

This role prepares and delivers engaging communications about programs, services, products, and policies externally and internally for Hunter Douglas Brand. The Partner Communications Manager works closely with the larger Content Management Team, Learning & Development, and Customer Experience. He/she supports projects and routine tasks across the team and many other departments, especially the commercial and product management teams. This role requires excellent cross-team collaboration and managing multiple projects simultaneously. HD Brand communications are primarily digital, and the leader expects to focus on new and emerging technologies, tools, and innovative methods to improve adoption and a general awareness of the content being communicated.

What you'll do

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all the following essential functions. (These examples do not include all the functions that the employee may be expected to perform.)

  • Serve as a communications partner for the CX and Growth Organization and the broader HD Brand, driving alignment and engagement around short-term tactics and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement routine communications and campaigns identifying key deliverables to support the HD business and sales strategies, including managing a routine cadence of internal communications.
  • Work closely with internal partners to define communication requirements and manage routine and ad hoc campaigns. Deliver best practice communications to our dealers and employees using various channels, including email newsletters, portal communications, podcasts, etc. Provide recommendations on targeted and personalized communications and marketing messages that further our sales strategies and goals.

  •  Establish and distribute a set of key performance indicators to measure the performance and effectiveness of our communication campaigns, adjusting as necessary to improve the effectiveness of both content and messaging.

  • Establish cross-functional partnerships that include contributing writers and designers, focusing on an editorial review process to ensure accuracy and relevant messaging.

  • Develop a style guide to ensure consistency in style and terminology. Work across all CX to ensure consistent, on-brand, and accurate communications. Partner with Marketing and Product Management to mirror digital and content standards throughout all communications. 
  • Supervise additional communication team members and maintain a detailed project management solution for intake requests, task assignments, and workload and deadline monitoring.
  • Identify new opportunities for CX Communications to support specific business challenges or opportunities. Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and push innovation to try new things, incorporate best practices from outside the industry, and out of the box thinking.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on communication styles, techniques, and subjects. Assist other departments with communication needs and communication planning.

Who you are

  • BS degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field. 
  • 5+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, or related field with demonstrated experience leveraging communications tools to support critical initiatives. 
  • Proven work experience in communications. 
  • Hands-on experience with MS Office/ Google Workplace, project management systems, CRM applications such as Salesforce, etc. 
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing, as well as understanding how marketing automation functions and core capabilities. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills that requires little oversight or support in developing written communications that are targeted to both customers and employees. D
  • Detail-oriented and pays very close attention detail in terms of editing, user experience, and factoring in each audience.
