Marketing Coordinator

Responsible for coordinating multi-tactical projects and providing ongoing support for marketing initiatives; with a focus on campaigns and promotions; positioning, industry organizations and special projects, preparing various reports, conducting presentations and webinars, as requested.

Youth Communications Coordinator

Rise Above Colorado implements prevention strategies targeted for youth aged 12-17 to measurably impact attitudes (e.g. perception of harm, perception of peer use, etc.), knowledge (e.g. appropriate and inappropriate use of Rx drugs, teen brain science, etc.), and skills (e.g. media literacy, health decision-making, refusal skills, etc.). Rise Above achieves these objectives through direct-to-youth communications, peer-to-peer engagement and resource delivery by youth-serving partner organizations.

Position Overview
This position is part of the youth communications and engagement team, reporting to the Director of Youth Engagement. The team develops, implements and manages a comprehensive outreach strategy to engage young people with information, skills and resources that impact youth attitudes and ultimately reduce substance misuse and addiction among 12- 17 year olds. The Youth Communications Coordinator is responsible for understanding, reaching and engaging teens throughout Colorado by developing and implementing a variety of direct contact, promotional and social media strategies that most effectively support teens in their own (positive) development and to “rise above” substance misuse and addiction. The position works closely with the Director of Youth Engagement in developing and maintaining a virtual dialogue “space” for teens that integrates Rise Above Colorado’s (RAC) website and social media platforms, and also serves as the primary coordinator for the RAC Teen Action Council (TAC).

Community Partnership Coordinator

Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Community Partnership, the Community Partnership Coordinator implements a comprehensive, statewide outreach strategy through the Rise Above Colorado (RAC) constellation partner organization network and statewide Teen Action Council (TAC) to provide young people information, skills and resources that impact youth attitudes and ultimately reduce substance misuse and prevent addiction. The position supports the ongoing implementation of the Colorado Constellation Project in its target communities by supporting partner activities through local outreach, resource sharing, technical assistance and training. The position also helps support the TAC to help youth leaders implement peer-to-peer prevention initiatives at a community level.

Proposal Specialist

The primary responsibilities for this marketing role include:
• Provide proposal and communications support to both marketing and business development personnel
• Provide logistical, coordination and writing assistance on proposals and statements of qualifications
• Proposal support may include interviewing and writing resumes or project descriptions for proposals, working with subcontractors to obtain information, production support or other duties as assigned by the proposal manager
• Assist with or manage communications projects, including intranet postings and other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in marketing, communications or related field required.
• Three to five years proposal experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proofreading skills.
• Superior interpersonal skills and strong belief in customer service.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and flexibility in an environment of tight deadlines, unexpected changes and frequent interruptions.
• Self-motivated; able to take the initiative, anticipate needs, work independently and carry projects through to completion with moderate guidance/direction.
• Able to handle multiple tasks at once; superior organizational skills; attentive to details.
• Able to handle confidential and time-sensitive information with discretion.
• Must be knowledgeable of PCs and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), as well as a good working knowledge of InDesign.

Qualifications

Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in Public Health

This position provides oversight and management of the Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) and the City Readiness Initiative (CRI) contracts with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). This also position provides expertise in public health preparedness and response planning, implementation, and evaluation to respond to incidents of bioterrorism, infectious disease outbreaks, and other public health threats and emergencies.
