About FPPA

The Fire and Police Pension Association of Colorado administers a statewide multiple employer public employee retirement system providing defined benefit and defined contribution benefits for police officers and firefighters throughout the State of Colorado. We are a small association of 68 staff located in Denver, Colorado. Our leadership team guides us in fulfilling our mission, vision and values while achieving our strategic objectives. We work hard and have a culture that supports staff to establish a well-balanced relationship between their personal needs and work commitments. FPPA currently operates under a hybrid work model with three days in office and two days remote.
 

Position Summary

The Employer Solutions Administrator is responsible for managing Police and Fire Member contribution account reporting, reconciliations, data analysis, and audits, as well as overseeing Employer and Member data submitted through FPPA Employers. This role involves performing complex data analysis and transactional administration, including reviewing, coding, posting, and reconciling contribution reports and related payments.

The Employer Solutions Administrator also resolves Member account issues, processes adjustments, and executes other detailed account-related actions. Additionally, they provide excellent customer service to assigned FPPA Employers by offering training, assistance with Member onboarding, and fostering a strong Employer relationship. The position further includes overseeing various administrative duties related to Employer servicing.

 

Qualifications Summary

  • Proficiency in the use of business math and understanding and use of basic analytical skills.
  • Ability to plan and organize work while compensating for frequent interruptions and evolving expectations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in customer service with prior professional experience.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical financial/retirement administration information and principles.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a customer-facing role requiring a high attention to detail and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Intermediate technical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn and embrace new technology as it becomes available.
  • Effective verbal and written skills, good proofreading, and spelling skills.
  • Retirement plan administration and/or accounting background helpful but not required.

 

Salary and Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $65K ‐ $80K. Includes group medical, dental, vision, 401K, 457, defined benefit though Colorado PERA, life insurance and long‐term disability.
