Reporting to the Vice President of Development and Marketing and the President/CEO, the Director of Major and Planned Giving is primarily responsible for securing major and planned gift commitments and for the overall strategy and development of the major and planned gifts program at Volunteers of America Colorado. The Director fosters a collaborative approach in matching the mission and goals of the organization with the interests and passions of donors statewide to advance successful philanthropic partnerships. Within this role, the Director will also provide organization-wide leadership in: strategic fundraising planning, non-governmental donor growth, and effectively stewarding all donors and community partners. The Director will serve as a key liaison and member of the Volunteers of America Colorado executive management team. The Director also plays a key role in staffing and working directly with the CEO, Board of Directors volunteer leadership. The Director supervises the Manager of Major and Planned Gifts.
