Job Summary:
The International Erosion Control Association (IECA) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Education and Conference Manager to oversee the planning, development, and execution of educational programs and conferences. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in advancing the association's mission to promote erosion and sediment control and stormwater management through high-quality educational initiatives and networking opportunities.
- Program Development: Design, develop, and implement educational programs, workshops, webinars, and conferences that meet the needs of IECA members and the erosion control community.
- Event Planning: Coordinate all aspects of conference planning including venue selection, speaker recruitment, scheduling, logistics, and event marketing.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for educational programs and conferences, ensuring financial objectives are met and resources are efficiently allocated.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate relationships with industry experts, sponsors, and partners to enhance the quality and reach of IECA's educational offerings.
- Content Creation: Oversee the creation and distribution of educational materials, including presentation slides, handouts, and online resources.
- Evaluation and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and conferences, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
- Marketing and Promotion: Develop marketing strategies to promote educational programs and conferences, increasing attendance and engagement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of coordinators, volunteers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of events and programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Environmental Science, Event Management, or a related field.
- CMP preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in educational program development and conference management, preferably within a professional association or non-profit organization.
- Strong understanding of erosion and sediment control practices and the needs of the erosion control community preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders and build strong professional relationships.
- Proficiency in using event management software and online educational platforms.
- Flexibility to travel for conferences and events as needed.
