The Colorado Restaurant Association is seeking a Member Retention and Event Sponsorship Manager to assume responsibility of developing and executing strategies to retain members and securing sponsors of organization's events.

Job Title: Member Retention & Event Sponsorship Manager
Reports To:VP Strategic Partnerships
Job Type:Exempt Full-time Position

JOB SUMMARY:
Member Retention
Assumes overall responsibility for engaging members from the time they join through the life of their membership. Develop and execute strategies, including how to actively engage current members, highlight membership value, and address potential concerns to maintain and increase member retention.

Event Sponsorship:
Assumes overall responsibility for bringing in event sponsors to meet budgeted goals. Develop and execute an event sponsorship strategy for all Association and Foundation annual events.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Member Retention:

  • Design and implement member engagement initiatives, which might include targeted communication campaigns, member feedback surveys, and personalized outreach to various member groups (independent, fast-casual, etc.).
  • Coordinate with other Association staff, as needed, to engage members in Association and/or Foundation programs.
  • Work with marketing, communications, and program teams to integrate member retention efforts into broader association initiatives. 
  • Along with Vice Chair of Membership (Board Appointee) and Membership Development and Engagement Director, lead quarterly membership committee meetings.
  • Track key membership metrics like renewal rates and engagement levels to assess the effectiveness of retention strategies. 
  • Provide end-of-month retention reports, including any upsells, to VP Strategic Partnerships.
  • Report to the Leadership team quarterly any member feedback and suggest new benefits or retention strategies based on data gathered from member interactions.
  • Attend CSRA monthly membership calls (Zoom) to get ideas as to what other SRAs are doing around member engagement and retention.
  • Follow-up with members to gather updated information when needed (i.e., new primary contact, expired cards).
  • Work with database and credit card processing company to make processing dues increases seamless.

Event Sponsorship:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential sponsors.
  • Manage and grow relationships with current sponsors.
  • Assist in the preparation and design of sponsorship brochures to ensure compelling opportunities for current and potential sponsors. Tailor sponsor benefits to fit the needs of different potential sponsors. 
  • Manage sponsorship deliverables to ensure they are completed within promised times; delegate deliverables to the communication team and other departments as needed.
  • Work with event partners to ensure they have what they need to help with sponsorships.
  • Participate in business and industry related events where networking opportunities exist.
  • Meet and exceed budgeted projections for each event.
  • Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attend staff meetings and other inter-office meetings as scheduled.
  • Attend and help with Association and Foundation events as scheduled.
  • Represent the CRA in a professional manner within the community.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college 
  • Bilingual preferred

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in the use and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Great organization, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Independent worker with limited supervision needed.
  • Knowledge of the food service industry preferred.
  • A commitment to excellence.

Notes:

  • Some travel and evening / weekend work are required.
  • No phone calls please.
  • Colorado residents only (no relocation offered).

Must be willing to undergo a basic background screening.

SALARY: $70,000 – $80,000 annually, with opportunities for bonus.
