Description
The Resident Services Specialist at Concordia on the Lake supports residents by promoting a positive community environment. This position primarily provides exceptional customer service and will assist the Resident Services Manager with coordinating events and assisting with various tasks around the community, including light maintenance, event set up and take down and other resident services tasks as assigned. The person in this position possesses strong communications, telephone, customer service skills, and enthusiasm to assist with planning and implementing special functions and enrichment activities in a senior community setting.
Pay:
$22-$24/hour
At Concordia on the Lake, pay will fall within the posted range and will depend on your experience, education, and the specific responsibilities of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Encourage and support resident participation in community activities and events, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Safely operate the company’s 14-passenger shuttle for resident transportation to scheduled outings and events (training provided).
- You must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
- Willingness and ability to drive company vehicles as needed.
- Capture and upload photos and videos to the community’s cloud-based resident engagement platform.
- Assist with planning, set-up, and decoration of activity spaces and displays in alignment with company standards.
- Help residents with amenity reservations and service requests, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.
- Gather and evaluate resident feedback to enhance services and amenities.
- Maintaining accurate records of resident services and resident requests using AppFolio.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in shared spaces, including light cleaning of areas like the salon and event center.
- Coordinate logistics for catered events and community-led programs.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, communicating effectively with other departments to meet resident needs.
- Monitor resident behavior and report any concerns to management.
- Perform light cleaning, basic maintenance, and occasional lifting as part of daily responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Previous experience in front-facing customer service roles is required, particularly in settings such as property management, restaurants, hotels, or concierge services.
- Experience in other hospitality environments like event planning, travel services, or entertainment venues is also highly valued.
- 1–2 years of experience working with older adults and supporting social or recreational events is highly desirable.
- Background in related fields such as social work, human services, or healthcare is a plus.
- Completion of college-level coursework in Business, Hospitality, or Management is preferred.
