Primary purpose of the position: 
The role will support the overall vision of Ball brand and business objectives by managing internal communications campaigns (adaptation of global ones, creation of regional /local ones), storytelling, copywriting and proofreading as well as supporting external comms team with stories and messaging for Ball globally, in order to maintain, protect, and enhance Ball’s reputation and brand, as well as drive engagement and internal information flow. They will plan and drive internal communications content, as well as external comms if needed, and will be responsible for the creation, management and implementation of relevant social media and owned content initiatives. This role partners with core Ball business and creative teams that support the company (e.g., translation agency, creative agency) to bring brand-enhancing work to all internal and external comms channels, media, social media, owned media (ball.com).

What Will You Be Responsible For?

  • Develops, implements and manages internal communications campaigns and content:
  • Focus on management and adaptation of global internal communications campaigns so that they reach all employees through different internal comms channels.
  • Focus on management and preparation of regional /local internal communications campaigns.
  • Focus on preparation and regular update of key messaging decks for external and internal comms.

Content support and leverage for:

  • Strategic functional support
  • Global, content creation and asset translations
  • Internal communication planning and reporting
  • External communications – media relations
  • Social media
  • Global Content Council
  • Ball.com / Ball Stories / BallConnect 
  • Manages agencies on rich media and other content creation, develops guidelines and standards 
  • Manage translations into Global languages

Acts as:

  • Interface for internal stakeholders (commercial, marketing, sustainability, HR, talent acquisition, D&I, etc.)
  • Engaged member of global comms team 
  • Owner and driver of ongoing relationships with creative and translation agencies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for adapting / developing and executing communication campaigns to support human resources, commercial / marketing, sustainability, community, diversity & inclusion, talent acquisition, etc.
  • Creates and produces relevant communications materials – stories, executive quotes, speeches, videos, announcements, presentations, content and associated communication activities to support key initiatives.
  • Assigns activities to external partners (creative agencies); directs, assigns and/or collaborates with agencies.
  • Demonstrates writing excellence when crafting internal correspondence, communications plans, articles, etc.
  • Develops and fosters relationships companywide and manages projects with colleagues at all levels and across all regions and businesses to achieve Company objectives.
  • Member of Content Council, co-management of editorial calendar to ensure organized approach and cadence of communications.
  • Displays strong presentation skills.

What Are We Looking For? 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience doing content strategy, which may include internal communication campaigns, creation, management and implementation of relevant content (social and other formats). 
  • Demonstrated skill in generating creative ideas and analyze and communicate complex information.
  • Demonstrated skill in partnering with business functions; develop and execute communication plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining positive working relationships that foster customer service among individuals from within the Company as well as outside the Company.
  • Demonstrated skill in possing confidence, consultant’s mind-set and ability to work independently as well as in team dynamic.
  • Demonstrated skill in anticipatipating; able to plan and think ahead embracing the upcoming internal opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of communications practices.
  • Working knowledge of excellent writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, HTML, graphic design, photo editing and video production/editing would be an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • This role can be located remotely; however, travel to our global headquarters in Westminster, CO may be required. 
  • Hiring Salary Range: $ 93,100 – 133,290 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
