Summary
Description
One of America’s most respected and admired humanitarian dental care organizations seeks an experienced and innovative development professional to lead the reimagining of its national fundraising program. If you are a highly-skilled professional with experience in annual giving, corporate and foundation support, major gift and planned gift fundraising, you may be ideally suited to lead the DLN development program to its next level of success.
Since 1974, Dental Lifeline Network (DLN) has arranged comprehensive dental treatment for people with disabilities or who are elderly or medically fragile. Its flagship Donated Dental Services (DDS) program involves more than 15,000 volunteer dentists and 3,400 volunteer dental laboratories who have donated over $500 million in free treatment to more than 165,000 individuals.
DLN’s next Vice President of Development will have a track record of generating significant support through annual gifts, corporate and foundation support, major gifts and planned gifts. The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of fundraising principles, while introducing new and bold strategies to energize the DLN development program. Their work history will show progressive achievements in personal solicitation, board and volunteer training, and creating a high performing and sustainable financial development program.
We are looking for someone with a history of strong managerial leadership, preferably in a small to mid-sized development shop. The successful candidate is a highly-organized self-starter who succeeds with minimal staff support.
The position is based at the DLN national headquarters in downtown Denver. The Vice President of Development will travel 3-4 times per year working with the organization’s national board of directors, staff, volunteers and donors.
The annual compensation for this position is $130,000 – $160,000. A highly competitive benefits package is included. This search will remain active until a successful candidate is selected.
DLN is an equal opportunity employer. We strongly encourage people of color, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and non-binary people, veterans, parents, and individuals with disabilities to apply. DLN participates in E-Verify.
