Job Summary:
Under the limited guidance & direction of the Senior & Event Center Director, coordinates, manages, and supervises Ute Theatre and Events Center events and staff. Manages other events as assigned; and performs related duties and responsibilities, as necessary. This is an in-person position that is not eligible for regular remote work.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management (entertainment emphasis), event management, marketing, hospitality, or other closely related field. Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position.
Job Requirements: Valid Colorado Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Ability to pass background check and MVR with results that are acceptable to the City of Rifle. Must be trained in responsible serving of alcohol; TIPS certified and ServSafe Food Manager Safety Certified or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
Work Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible work in the field of theater and event management, hospitality, special event coordination, including experience managing the development and coordination of public events, as well as marketing, accounting, and direct fundraising experience.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
Working knowledge of technical equipment operation and maintenance common to theater and event facilities highly desirable.
This position is full-time, exempt, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance, as well as retirement, vacation, sick, and holiday pay. The wage range for this position is $59,631 – $71,450 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. This position closes on Monday, December 9th.
