Reporter

Ballantine Communications has an opening for a reporter to help cover Cortez and Montezuma County for The Journal. Stories can range from an economic development project involving solar energy to an unusual murder case.

Reporters

We are looking for general assignment reporters to cover beats that may include law enforcement and criminal courts, K-12 education, government, the midvalley, Aspen Skiing Company and breaking news. It’s a lot to cover because we report on the incredible mountain communities of Pitkin County and the greater Roaring Fork Valley.

Controller

The Controller will lead all day-to-day finance operations, supervise the finance department team and have functional responsibility over accounting, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and reporting. The Controller will ensure that systems and procedures are in place to support effective program implementation and conduct successful audits.

Court Liaison

Be part of a first-of-its-kind program that’s transforming lives and systems at the intersection of behavioral health and criminal justice. Court Liaisons are placed across Colorado’s 22 judicial districts to serve defendants (referred to as participants) in the criminal justice system who have significant mental health needs. Liaisons provide person-centered care, working with participants to identify needs and address barriers, such as mental health, disabilities, housing, or transportation.

Executive Director of Alumni Engagement and Career Services

Duties include strategic planning, fiscal management and program development to generate resources for all university alumni and provides strategic leadership for development, implementing, and evaluating recruiting systems, programs and events to connect employers with students, faculty and alumni. Serves as executive director of the CMU Alumni Association.
