Role Overview

The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for leading and overseeing all operational functions across retail, wholesale, and manufacturing for a premier confectionery company. This role will drive operational excellence, supply chain efficiency, and business growth through strategic leadership and execution. The VP of Operations will ensure seamless integration across departments to enhance productivity, improve cost efficiencies, and maintain the highest quality standards.

This individual will work closely with the executive leadership team, finance partners, and operational leaders to develop actionable plans that align with our long-term strategic goals. This position reports to the CEO of Lolli & Pops and is an on-site role in our Denver facility.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

– Develop and execute operational strategies that align with the company's growth objectives across retail, wholesale, and manufacturing channels.  

– Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.  

– Identify and implement best practices to optimize productivity and cost control.  

Manufacturing & Supply Chain:

– Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, warehousing, and logistics.  

– Ensure manufacturing facilities operate efficiently, meeting production schedules and quality standards.  

– Implement cost-effective sourcing, vendor management, and supply chain strategies to optimize margins.  

– Optimize inventory management and merchandising strategies to drive sales and profitability.  

– Oversee compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.  

Financial & Performance Management:

– Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals.  

– Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.  

– Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and service levels.  

People & Culture Development:

– Build and lead high-performing teams across operations, fostering leadership development and engagement.  

– Establish training programs to enhance operational expertise and employee growth.  

– Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive work environment.  

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field (MBA preferred).  

– 10+ years of leadership experience in operations, preferably within the confectionery, food manufacturing, or retail industry.  

– Strong background in supply chain management, retail operations, and wholesale distribution.  

– Proven ability to lead and scale multi-channel operations in a fast-paced environment.  

– Expertise in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.  

– Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.  

– Strong leadership and communication abilities with a track record of team development and motivation.

Compensation

The expected starting pay range for this position is $150,000-200,000 per year. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
