About Us:
The Rose Andom Center, Colorado’s first family justice center, enhances the lives of domestic
violence survivors by providing streamlined access to comprehensive services through a
collaborative model. In a single, safe location, community organizations and government
agencies work together to serve individuals and families impacted by domestic violence.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Grant Compliance:
• Serve as a member of the Leadership Team, contributing to strategic planning and
policy development.
• Recommend and implement improvements aligned with strategic goals, including
staffing, equity and inclusion, and budgeting.
• Assist with the development and review of trauma-informed organizational policies and
practices.
• Support implementation of wellness initiatives to promote staff retention and self-care.
• Provide guidance and coaching to program managers and staff to ensure effective
implementation of programs.
• Lead the development and management of the annual organizational budget in
collaboration with the Executive Director and program leaders.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, prepare forecasts, and recommend
strategic adjustments.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and reports for the Executive Director,

Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
• Maintain and improve internal financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure
compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Oversee day-to-day financial functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable,
payroll, and monthly reconciliations.
Government Grants Oversight
• Manage all financial aspects of government grants, with a strong emphasis on federal
funding.
• Ensure compliance with OMB Uniform Guidance and all relevant grant conditions,
including allowable costs, time and effort reporting, procurement standards, and
financial documentation.
• Maintain detailed systems for tracking grant revenue and expenditures by funding
source.
• Prepare and submit reimbursement invoices and financial reports in accordance with
grant requirements.
• Support program staff and subgrantees in developing systems for accurate invoicing
and expenditure tracking to ensure grant compliance.
Audit, Reporting & Strategic Finance
• Lead the annual audit process and 990 preparations; serve as the primary contact for
external auditors and accounting partners.
• Serve as staff lead for the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors, providing
monthly reports and strategic financial guidance.
• Present complex financial information in an accessible format to Board members, staff,
and external stakeholders.
• Support the development of financial strategies to ensure long-term sustainability,
including scenario planning and risk management.

Collaboration & Financial Capacity Building
• Collaborate with the Advancement Director and Program Director to ensure accurate
tracking of contributed revenue and grant income.
• Build financial literacy across the organization by partnering with program and
leadership staff.
• Regularly review and update financial policies, practices, and tools in collaboration with
the Executive Director to ensure effectiveness and compliance.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field (CPA
or advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive nonprofit finance experience, with at least 2 years in
a senior or director-level position.
• Demonstrated experience managing federal and state government grants is required.
• Strong understanding of nonprofit fund accounting and federal grant regulations (e.g.,
Uniform Guidance).
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and grant tracking systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to explain financial
concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to culturally competent and survivor-centered practices.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong strategic planning and decision-making abilities.
• Skilled in project management, organization, and multitasking.
• Understanding of secondary trauma and trauma-informed environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
