Treeline Pass seeks an Executive Director (ED) with a demonstrated ability to foster organizational growth, vision, and purpose as well as a commitment to serving the special needs community. The ED provides strategic leadership to ensure the Treeline Pass mission is fulfilled, key partnerships are cultivated, fundraising goals are achieved, and the needs of those we serve are recognized and met.

Description

The ideal candidate will leverage experience in therapeutic disability services and organizational management to lead our mission-driven organization. Treeline Pass (TLP) is a non-profit organization committed to empowering adults with autism and developmental disabilities to cultivate lives rooted in purpose, joy, and growth in an inclusive community environment. Our evidenced-based, therapeutic services include prevocational training, supported employment, behavioral services, and specialized transportation. Most day program clients participate for 30 hours weekly, during which our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts and highly trained Behavior Technicians strategically move clients toward self-sufficiency, wellness, personal fulfillment, community immersion, volunteerism, and employment.   

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Works in close partnership with the Board of Directors (BOD) to set TLP vision, mission, and strategy  

  • Embodies the mission and prioritizes its fulfillment in decision making  

  • Demonstrates sound judgment, ethical decision making and transparency with BOD and TLP staff  

  • Sets a positive leadership tone to motivate peak performance from all employees and volunteers  

  • Motivates and encourages high employee morale and a positive work-place culture  

  • Fosters an environment of professionalism, collegiality, and collaboration  

  • Leads, supervises, and evaluates the leadership team and provides support with significant caregiver, community centered board, and community challenges  

  • Manages the leadership team and guides strategy for functional areas including IT, Facilities, HR, Finance, and Programming  

  • Develops staffing and compensation plan  

  • Recruits, onboards/offboards, oversees, and mentors TLP staff   

  • Works with the leadership team to provide ongoing staff development and clinical consultation  

  • Guides formulation and implementation of annual budget and strategic plan  

  • Proactively manages client and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and program impact 

  • Keeps organizational spending within the budget and provides adequate notice and rationale for discrepancies  

  • Manages Development staff to ensure budgeted fundraising targets are met 

  • Successfully executes fund development strategies; disseminates, represents, and communicates TLP mission to local businesses, community leaders, funders, and the public  

  • Maintains and expands community partnerships 

  • Consults regarding grant applications and reports  

  • Participates in TLP events and fundraisers  

  • Speaks passionately about our mission and the societal void that TLP fills  

  • Coordinates board meetings including agenda, note taking and action items  

  • Works with the leadership team to meet monthly Medicaid billing deadlines   

  • Creates systems for understanding Medicaid rules and regulations and ensures program compliance  

  • Oversees staff payroll   

  • Oversees the organizational health in all aspects and proactively addresses concerns 

  • Completes other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:  

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant career experience including leadership roles in non–profit, therapeutic, and/or educational settings  

  • Management experience with a team of at least 10+ staff  

  • Experience with autism spectrum disorders and/or special education is highly preferred  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with master’s degree and BCBA credentials highly preferred  

  • Experience with Medicaid billing highly preferred  

  • Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with the leadership team and BOD  

  • Financial acumen, including fundamental accounting principles and basic understanding of financial management reports  

  • Excellent verbal skills and comfort with public speaking engagements  

  • Superior written communication skills  

  • Competent computer skills and knowledge including Microsoft Office Suite  

  • Ability to think and act strategically to prioritize and modify goals and processes to meet the changing needs of the organization  

  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding goals in a results-driven organization   

Salary and Benefits:  

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $100,000 – $110,000, a comprehensive benefits package, and paid vacation/holidays. Although the ED works primarily in person at TLP and in the community, intermittent remote work is also an option.
