EVENTS AND PROJECT COORDINATOR
The Events and Project Coordinator provides organizational support and outreach for the ALB’s marketing and industry communications programs. This person helps manage programs designed to educate target audiences (chefs, retailers, influencers, media, consumers and sheep producers) about the benefits of American Lamb and the resources available from the American Lamb Board.
Responsibilities Include:
Events
- Coordinate and attend a variety of culinary events and conferences
- Research and evaluate event sponsorship opportunities and manage logistics
- Represent ALB at events including coordinating expert presentations, educational activations and demos and networking with attendees
- Assist with planning and logistics for ALB hosted marketing events including venue selection, rentals, beverage sponsor coordination, chef participation etc.
- Assist with planning and logistics for ALB hosted industry events including hotel and travel arrangements, registration, name badges, post event surveys etc.
Marketing and Communications
- Help write, edit and distribute e-newsletters as needed
- Help maintain and update content on the consumer and industry websites
- Assist in creating new marketing tools including coordination with designer and printer
- Maintain contacts for chefs, distributors, butchers, influencers and media in target markets and help manage outreach
- Monitor consumer and industry facing social channels and identify new influencer partnerships
- Evaluate advertising and promotion opportunities
- Track media coverage and collect key data and outcomes from staff and vendors for a quarterly results report
General Support
- Provide support services for marketing and industry programs as needed including reports and presentations, mailings, copy writing, design etc.
- Maintain a library of recipes, images and graphics
- Assist with fulfillment of industry orders and shipping for events
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills and design instincts
- A team player with strong collaboration and customer service skills
- Ability to travel independently and work weekend events as needed
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Experience with Excel, Power Point and Canva preferred
- Strong interest in food/cooking is a bonus
COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
- Full time position (40-hour work week Monday – Friday)
