The Director of Digital Marketing leads FOCUS’ digital strategy and execution, overseeing the vision, planning, and performance of all digital marketing efforts across social media, email, web, advertising, and multimedia platforms. POSITION SUMMARY

This role leads the strategy and innovation behind FOCUS’s digital presence—driving engagement, growth, and impact across web, email, social media, and digital advertising. We’re looking for a strategic leader who can turn vision into results, inspire a high-performing team, and keep FOCUS’s mission and values at the center of every campaign. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Digital Strategy & Integration

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of FOCUS’ comprehensive digital strategy to reflect the mission, values, and vision of the organization.
  • Align annual digital plans with organizational priorities and major initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice, messaging, and design across all digital channels.
  • Guide the Digital Team in developing and executing annual plans, campaigns, and departmental priorities.
  • Collaborate across departments to integrate digital into the broader marketing and organizational strategy.
  • Oversee the selection, management, and performance of external digital agencies and vendors.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Hire, mentor, and develop members of the Digital Team.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and alignment with mission.
  • Set clear goals, track performance, and provide feedback for growth.

Strategic Oversight of Digital Channels

  • Web: Direct website strategy, redesign, optimization, and user experience.
  • Email: Lead overall email marketing strategy, campaigns, workflows, segmentation, automation, and analytics.
  • Social Media: Guide social media strategy, evaluate analytics, and trend evaluation while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Digital Advertising: Lead the strategy, execution, and optimization of digital ad campaigns across departments.
  • Content Strategy: Shape digital content direction across platforms, providing oversight for storytelling, design, and creative execution.

Marketing Technology & Analytics

  • Oversee marketing technology platforms (e.g., HubSpot, CMS, vendor tools).
  • Implement systems and regular reporting for performance tracking, reporting, and analytics across all digital channels.
  • Use insights and data to optimize campaigns and inform decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Deep alignment with the mission and values of FOCUS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital marketing, with demonstrated success in multi-channel campaigns.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience managing and developing a team.
  • Ability to manage budgets effectively and steward resources responsibly.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of successfully executing and optimizing multi-channel digital campaigns.
  • Advanced expertise in social media strategy, email marketing, paid advertising, SEO, and analytics.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management abilities.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills for digital platforms.
